Hi ya'll! I am looking for a recipe for fish tacos. I was planning on making them for dinner tonight. But, then we went to Bonefish Grill for dinner last night. We ruined the basic recipe I had gotten from allrecipes.com. We had the fish taco appetizer, IT WAS FABULOUS! So now I am searching for a comparable recipe. It had a mango salsa. With just the right sweet to spicy taste. They served it with lime wedges. It either had a white sauce or it was part of the salsa. We couldn't tell. Anyway, It was really really good.

Please Send me any Great recipes you might have.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for all the suggestions! I had already searched and searched for a comparable recipe. I made one up from a couple different recipes. It was good. But, we decided to just go to Bonefish if we get a craving for these again.

Hi A.--I love fish tacos! I don't have an exact recipe that I use but if you can cook you can figure this out!
I use Mahi Mahi
season it with cumin, a little garlic powder (not garlic salt), onion powder, salt and pepper.
Grill or broil til done.
Break up fish and squeeze fresh lime over the meat.

Put fish on warm tortilla and top with lettuce, sour cream, guacamole and mango salsa.

Mango salsa (again I'm sorry but I make everything from sight and taste so I don't have exact measurements but this is hard to mess up)
2 Mangos peeled and diced
about a 1/4 c of diced red onion
1 jalapeno finely diced (seeds are optional)
1 large tomato diced (I take the seeds out)
about a 1/4 c of chopped fresh cilantro
pinch of salt and juice from 1 lime

Hope this helps----Just remember you want the predominant flavor in the fish to be the cumin and lime so season accordingly. I serve the fish tacos with a side of jasmin rice topped with seasoned black beans and carmalized onions----finished with a dollop of sour cream.
Ps. my kids love this meal (ages 3&5)

Order take out. Baja Burrito on Thompson Lane near 100 Oaks has a great fish taco. They have a great pineapple salsa.
