so alexis (15 months) is teething again, getting #13 (already poked through) and 14 (very close, probably will poke through in the next few days.. possibly 15 and 16 too..her gums seem a little...swollen.
shes always been just fine when teething even when her molars came in all 4 at once. she wasnt cranky or fussy..just would chew on her toys more. every so often at night we would use orajel and that would do it. well now shes been super cranky, every little thing sets her off into a screaming fit. shes also chewing on her fingers.
now, ive read a ton of reviews for hylands TT and from what ive read they work wonders with helping kids sleep and relax. but shes not really having trouble sleeping at all..she sleeps for 10-12 hours at night and takes a 2-3 hour nap during the day.. shes just super cranky/moody. so im wondering if i should actually try these and if they would make that much of a difference.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

well we got some and tried them the last few days. its a fight just to get her to take them, and if we get her to, they dont seem to work :/ i know every baby is different, so im not blaming the tablets or anything...
guess ill just stick with the orajel...she doesnt seem to mind taking that as much.

I personally think they are the greatest thing, They were the only thing that helped my son when he was teething. They did not make him sleepy or anyhing they just took the pain away from teething.
I recomend them to any teething baby.

I loved them for my daughter and give them as gifts to everyone I know who has a baby! I took them myself a few times when I had a headache and they helped me relax a little too.

I don't know anything about Hylands Teething Tablets. However, I do know, that when my children were cranky AND teething I would give them a homeopathic rememdy called "Chamomilla", which is a little sugar pill (6x I think) and she would need 3. they are so small there's no chance of choking. It was extremely effective. You can purchase it at Super Supplements. Maybe Hylands has that in it - but often naturopathic remedies can be very effective without being toxic in any way, which is what I like.

I would highly reccomend NOT using these. They contain an herb called belladonna in them. Do some research on this herb...it is nicknamed "the nightshade". It makes children so tired sometimes that they go into a coma and never wake up. Do your research before giving these to any child! :)

Check out the other post on this topic...the Mom did the research and says she WILL NOT use these!

I used them with both my kids and they worked great. It can't hurt to try them and maybe bring her a little more comfort. Poor thing! :)

I would definitely try them, they won't hurt and if she is cranky/moody then maybe she needs a little extra sleep anyway.
