Hello everyone. Wow, I loved all of your responses. Thank you so much. I learned a lot. I never heard of teething tablets or frozen bagels! Or chewing on onions! Thank you again!

About one drop of clove essential oil diluted in about 4 oz olive oil--it numbs the gums, and relieves the pain. The Hylands homeopathic teething remedies are also good.

There are these homeopathic teething tablets. They have them at Albertsons & Longs. They work better than anything else for my daughter. Hope this helps!

Hello S.,

I have been using chamomilla belladona tiny pellets from Uriel Pharmacy (www.urielpharmacy.com) for several years. I take primary care during the days of my three small granddaughters, ages 3 1/2 years,17 months and 15 months. Uriel also carries a wonderful, safe series of home remedies for other minor first and second aid woes. They will send upon request a useful first aid guide with a free sample of rose lavender cream. The cream makes a soothing baby massage product.

I also found that the small baby washcloths, moistened or even chilled, have been soothing for my wee girls to gnaw on.A Toy Garden( www.atoygarden.com) has great little organic cotton "vegetables" and "gum buddies"for chewing. These are either fair trade items and/or made by local moms. Actually the site is wonderful for so many useful and beautiful items for babies and children of all ages.

I also use several therapeutic oil blends, for soothing distressed babies ( Peace and Calming and Gentle Baby especially). I either apply them to babies' feet or diffuse them, or both. http://P..younglivingworld.com.

Finally, I often put the baby into my Ergo soft carrier: this is the only one I found that works for a slight 60 year old comfortably and can be easily worn front, side or back, from birth until preschool size. (www.ergobabycarrier.com).

Aloha, P.

Hi S.,

Hyland's Teething Tablets (not available at Babies-R-Us, but everywhere else), work great, fast and are tiny tablets that dissolve in the little one's mouth, and they taste good!

Hope this helps

hylands homeopathic teething tablets are great! also, a lot of babies like chewing on a wet washcloth... sounds silly, but it works :)

Hylands homeopathic teething tabs. you can get em at rite-aid or grocery. Target dosent have em. They will knock em out.

Hermann's teething tablets, behind the counter, are the best teethin remedy ive ever used. my babies are grown now, but i'll never forget how well they worked.

When my girls were young (they are now 12) we squirted Camillia on their gums. We got it at a health food store. It seemed to help.
