How to Store GeoTrax

Does anyone know of a good way to set up a GeoTrax train set and have it easily movable for vacuuming etc? I know a standard train table will not work so I was hoping someone who had the GeoTrax set could tell me if they found something that works well. My son loves it but we have to completely rip it down to move it or vacuum and then it takes forever to set it all back up! Thanks for any advice you can give!

What can I do next?

I'd like to know also!! I keep the track pieces and accessories in large plastic bins when it's not set up, but that doesn't really help you. Maybe someone else knows!!

Is there any way you could set it up on a piece of MDF or thin plywood and then lift it every time? It may be a 2 person job, but that's the only thing I can come up with!

My boys had the train set that came before GeoTrax, I believe I used the edging tool to clean in between and if the carpet needed a good vacuuming we took it apart and made a new layout for the tracks. We also stored the pieces in bins when the boys needed a break from that toy. The boys loved rearranging the tracks. They were a pain, but amazingly enough I think I still have alot of the pieces out in the garage!

I hope you find a solution!

put a piece of plywood uder it the you can just slide it or have some one help pick it up and you will not have to take it apart. you can get a piece at any home improvement store and they will cut it to the size you need.

MY son has one he alway's took it apart so we put it away and bring it out every so often now, you can't just pick it up the track is large depending if you keep adding to it.If you plan on keeping it out to be played with I have also thought about this idea myself to avoid the hassle of putting it back together again (Gorilla Glue) all the track's one at a time. It's a great toy

We have my sons GeoTrax train set on a large floor rug. Then you can drag the rug to move it for vaccuming. The rug is the kind with streets on it to drive cars on, ours is from the Home Depot. You still have to move tracks occasionally to vaccum rug, but not as often. Hope this helps!

Hi T.,

Can you build it over a rug that you can slide to clean? Just a though since I only have girls.....
