My crock pot has what looks like calcified water stains on the inside edges of the brown ceramic. I've put it in the dishwater, scrubbed it by hand, and still no luck. Is there any way to remove these stains? I'm looking for something to use tonight, even a product that I might already have on hand. I'm NOT interested in ordering a cleaning product from your business!
This weather makes me want to make a yummy stew, and I hate that my jumbo crock pot is not as clean as possible! Is it safe to use as is? Thanks in advance! : )
Have you tried using vinegar? I know when you get those stains in your coffee pot, it is recommended to use a mixture of water and vinegar to clear them out. I'm not sure of the ratio though. I'm guessing you can find it if you do a search on the internet.

Fill it a quarter of the way with vinegar and the rest of the way with hot water. Let it sit for an hour at least.
I have a great crockpot, however, I prefer my cast iron on the stove all day vs the crock pot.
I made home made beef stew and chili this week all in my iron pots and just nurtured them throughout the day.
As for cleanng, I love vinegar or bleach and elbow grease!!

I like those crock pot liners over by the ziploc section. You just have to be careful not to scrape them with the spoon and tear a hole.
I use the Reynolds Crockpot liners also. I think they come in a box of 4 for about $2.50. I've never had a problem with mine tearing. When I'm done, I just pour the leftovers into a container or pitch the entire bag. Run a wet sponge in the crockpot to get the condensation and I'm done. They're the best!
You might also try oxi-clean. I put a couple of scoopfuls with VERY hot water an let it sit for an hour then rinse and wash with detergent. That being said, I'm sure it's fine to use as-is!
Have you tried Crockpot liners? You can find them at Target or Walmart, or probably anyplace that carries saran wrap, foil, etc. That way you don't have to worry about stuff getting stuck on your ceramic.
