His Needs, Her Needs

This is not really a request but more of a finding.

After discussing a low sex drive with my gyno, I was referred to the book, His Needs Her Needs. The author is Willard Harley Jr.

With every page I turned, it was like the book was about my husband and me. Our problems, my frustrations, and hopefully our solutions. It is an easy read and fairly short. When purchasing the book, the clerk told me it was actually required by her premarital counseling. They read it because it was required. They bought it so if they ever began having problems, they would have a quick reference guide.

I highly recommend the book to anyone with a frustrating husband. It turns out girls, he's right. He's not the whole problem! Neither are we. It's just awesome.

I would love to hear from anyone who has read this and found it helpful in their lives as well.

What can I do next?

I have read the book and it has helped my husband and I both. I have been married 11 1/2 years and have just started a new book by Debbie Pearl "Called to be his help meet" If you think the other book is tough on the pride and humbleness in a marriage you need to read this one too.

Don't know anything about the book, but I was wondering how things are going with your ADD~ODD son. My oldest son was diagnosed with ADHD and Conduct Disorder. He's currently living in a group home to get some help and he actually sent me a Valentine's Day card!

My husband and I actually attended this seminar at the beginning of our marriage. Back then we thought we had no problems, and really we didn't...yet! I need to pull this off the bookshelf and spend some time in it!
Our church is having a marriage matters seminar next week. You can go to mrcc.org for more info. Have a great weekend!

I've read it - in fact, there is a course offered by our church called Dynamic Marriage that is based solely on this book. You're right, it is wonderful! If you happen to be in the Tulsa area, feel free to look up the course details online at www.tcabc.com It's fun to do WITH your husband!

So excited for you and your positive findings! Here's to long and happy marriages!!!

It is a wonderful book! My husband and I first read it together a few years ago and now we read it again at the first of each year! We've given it to other couples who have come to us for help/advice (my husband is a preacher).
