Help with Stamps

I never use stamps cause I pay all my bills on line so the stamps I have are who know's how old and I have to send some thank you cards. They don't say on them how many cents they are. It is the Liberty Bell and says 2007. Does anyone know whether I need a 1 cent stamp with this as well? I can't remember but I thought stamps went up sometime but I don't want to be foolish and put these 1 cent stamps on these letters if I don't have to. Thanks

Just wanted to add that it does say forever on it.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Yup it is a forever stamp which I've never heard of. Thanks for the replies.

Yes, it's a forever stamp. You can use those no matter how much the price of mailing letters costs. No need to add any additional postage for a 1st class letter.

Those are the Forever stamps. They are worth whatever the going rate is. Right now it is 42 cents. If you were to buy a bunch of those before the next price increase, they would be worth the new amount. (i.e. They are just right all the time.)

As people said they are good anytime. Also a tip for you since you are like me and don't use stamps often -- Always buy these forever stamps. They continue to be available and they are the only ones I buy just in case some don't get used before the postage invevitably changes next year.

You can use the "Forever" stamps--forever! So you don't need to add a 1 cent.

You can use those by themselves because they are the forever stamp. You do not need the one cent stamp with those.

thats too funny, sorry cant help you w/ this one as i have the same problem. i am going to go read your replies so maybe i can use my stamps too. they go up so often its hard to keep track.

ok i read the replies, thats cool they are good for forever. my question now is how much do they currently cost compared to a normal stamp price?

Hi S.,

The nice thing about Forever stamps means you can use them forever. You don't need to any one stamps to them. When you buy forever stamps - it costs what the current stamp price is. But you can use them no mater how much the postage goes up. Hope that helps! (It does get so confusing, esp. if you don't mail much. Postage prices go up way to frequently.)

That's the forever stamp - you do not have to add anything to it.

These are the forever stamps, they are good....forever.

The stamp w/ the Libery Bell is called the "Forever" stamp, know matter how high the price of stamps get, you'll still be able to use those stamps. So to answer your question, no need for the one cent stamps.
