Help with Choosing a Book for Book Club
Does anyone have a fabulous recommendation for a book club choice? Has anyone read the following and do you recommend any of these for a book club selection: Shelter Me by Juliette Fay; Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah; The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf. Two books that our book club has recently read and I recommend 100% are Still Alice and The Help.

Some really good books that I have read for my neighborhood book club are: The Secret Life of Bees; The Time Traveler's Wife; The Wednesday Letters; World without End and Pillars of the Earth both by Ken Follett (both very long); My Sister's Keeper.
Enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed The Help, and I liked True Colors by Kristin Hannah, so I'm sure her other books are also good. I would also recommend Silence by Jamilah Kolocotronis.

The Shack (it is about God so make sure it will be accepted by all)
Kite Runner
Pillars of the Earth and World Without End
1,000 Splendid Sons
Oceans Apart and anything by Karen Kingsbury
Clan of the Cave Bear
Confessions of a Shopaholic
Twilight
The last two have 4 books each but are REALLY good! That should keep you guys busy for at least a month or so!

"The Memory Keeper's Daughter" by Kim Edwards. I read it on my own rather than in a book club, but I so wanted someone to discuss it with.

You've gotten recommendations form other if the book's I would suggest, so I'll give an extra vote to:
Secret Life of Bees
Memory Keeper's Daughter
Time Traveler's Wife
All rich, wonderful stories. If you're looking for non-fiction, I would recommend Eat, Pray, Love.
Enjoy!
