Help Me Find a Bra That Fits in the Treasure Valley!!

I'm expecting my 4th child and I'm in my first trimester, but my breasts are already huge. By no means am I trying to brag, I wouldn't wish this for anyone. I'm miserable in the bra I have and need to go bigger. I'm a fairly small framed person with large breasts, regularly a 32DD. With each of my pregnancies and especially nursing, my breasts have become enormous. With my last pregnancy the largest bra I wore was a 34J! To say the least, I have a really hard time finding affordable bras that fit unless I shop on the internet, but I want to be able to go somewhere to try on the bra before I spend an arm and a leg on a purchase. Most stores don't even come close to having anything in my size. I know of a store that carries them, but they are only located in California. My breasts are really heavy so I need to find one with awesome support. I really have no idea what size I am now, (I'd guess a 34F?)but I'm sure I'm several cup sizes bigger already. Do any of you out there have any suggestions on where to shop to find bras for small frames but large cups, preferably a minimizer bra? Please help, I'll take any advice I can get! Thanks!

What can I do next?

Oh.... I know what you mean and as far as I know there isn't anything around here to help out. If you can find a larger cup they usually start in the 40's, I am a 36-38 g (depending on the bra) and last year I ordered 3 for 200 and it was ridiculous cause a couple had to go back because they still didn't fit right.

I will be checking back to see if anyone else has any ideas!

Hey D.,

I'm in the same boat as you with regard to bra size. When I was pregnant with #3, I overheard the sales clerk at Motherhood tell another customer about a woman here locally that distributes the Bravado nursing bras and they specialize in larger sizes. I asked about her and got her phone number and then very promptly lost it. My memory was so bad with this pregnancy that I never remembered to call back over there to get her number again.

I would imagine Motherhood would give you that information if you called over there. I use their sleeper bra tanks and they work pretty good at holding me up and are really comfortable as my breasts swell and shrink. I replace mine every few months as the elastic breaks down and buy a size smaller to get extra support. Not to mention they are really convenient for breastfeeding and work well underneath clothing.

Good luck and let me know if you're able to get that lady's number!

Unfortunately, I don't know where to find such a bra...I have been looking for the last two years locally and have found nothing! I have had to order every bra. The old playtex is still my favorite for support...with some alterations(taking in the band), it doesn't come in a 34dd just a 36dd. I do know that at one time there was a woman who makes custom nursing bras. Motherhood at the the mall gave her # when I was pregnant with my first, but I never looked into it. I think it is pretty pricey. I hope you find something that works.

Hi D.,

Have you ever checked out the Bravado line of nursing bras? I have really appreciated them. They have a supreme that goes up to a size G. I'm not sure how supportive they are in that size, but I have loved them in a smaller size. There is a mom here that has an internet website (www.monkeybottoms.com) and she does carry them. She might be able to help, though I don't know that she carries the supreme. (I've purchased mine online from www.breakoutbras -- before I knew about her.)
If that doesn't work, I sure hope something comes along quickly that will! Blessings.
