Have You Ever...??

Reported someone just because you didn't like THEM?

I would never. I think that's counterproductive to the principle of this site, and it's starving moms of invaluable advice.

Just wondering :)

What can I do next?

Sad to see that someone would report questions on sex...mamas are sexual beings and this should be a safe place to ask.

LOL, NO! Laughing because I do make a little defeated competitive grr noise when one person on here offers good advice. Goes to show you we all have something to offer :-). I agree about it being counterproductive!

I can say that I never have. I don't dislike a person on a website whom I have never met and had the opportunity to really engage.

I think it so elementary of someone to report anything because they don't like it. The report button is for inappropriate material. Not for our opinions to be pulled. Our opinions matter even if you don't like it.
*I would like to say sorry to the women that I accidentally reported. I was on my ipod touch (in class NOT paying attention hehehehe) and my finger hit report not flower. It didn't pop up anything saying it was reported, but just in case! If you got reported, I'm sorry!! I don't remember your name!!

I only reported someone once because the advice they were giving was dangerous and completely inappropriate (it was to a person whose cat had been run over by a car, could not walk, and she was telling them to just force feed the cat raw egg and sugar water and it would be fine). When I sent the person a p.m. about it, she tried to tell me she was a veterinarian too. Umm, yeah, right. If someone like that is giving legal or medical advice when they are clearly not qualified, especially if they are going to lie about it and misrepresent themselves, they need to be taken off this site before someone actually decides to follow their advice and something bad results from it.

Nope. Not because I "don't like them". Maybe rude people, but not just because I don't like them.

nope. But I did report someone who offered dangerous medical advice. (It was more than a mere difference of opinion though).

Even if you don't agree with someone's opinion, it's just that an opinion. Sometimes it's good to see a lot of different ideas about how to handle a certain situation.
It's called free speach and this is th U.S. and we get free speach.

I had never reported anyone until the other day because they called the person who posted a bad name (dumbA$$) because they thought their question was so stupid. That was all they said..didn't even give any advice. That was really unkind IMO. Everyone else responded with great advice though.

As far as disliking someone on here; that would be impossible since I don't personally know any of you and I have yet to be called a bad name...knock on wood! LOL!

I report Trolls, flamers, and people trying to sell stuff. Other than that, I just skip over anything I don't want to read. Easy enough. :)

I don't report because of dislike. If I dislike something, I can choose to read no further. I have reported something once but it was someone advertising a site for people to go to, to buy things. If it were a Mom owned business then there is a proper Mamapedia place for it, but this was definitely not that!

Nope. I actually only think I've reported one person.
I reported them for being way too cruel in their answer.
Otherwise I just laugh at peoples responses...

I only have reported someone for violating mamapedia's anti flaming policy. There should be no other reason to report something. And reporting someone just because you repeatedly disagree with their answers would be childish and petty.

I agree with you! And Mamapedia pulls too many things, and then leaves some horrible responses up. I cannot figure it out!

I reported one of those spam posters that was asking ridiculous questions. I think it was probably a teenaged boy. bizarre.

I reported one answer because they used an offensive term. I don't even remember the mom's name, so it obviously didn't bother me that much!

No not because I did not "like" them. I have never met people on this site (well, one since she moved here, but she is sweet). I have reported two people (but think they were the same person. They were asking very inappropriate, slang/bad language, seeming like a joke to the site questions.

If I read something that I don't agree with or think is TMI then I just do not respond at all, but I would NEVER report. This site is open for all us moms (and some dads) to ask questions and get help/support.

i guess i found out who reported M. if you look up further...haha...i think its crazy that someone would report all questions on sex...do they determine J. because they don;t want to read it we can;t????

Nope. I can't even think of anyone I HAVE reported. The obvious cretins and trolls are usually already reported by the time I read them, if I read them. Often, they disappear before I scroll back thru a 2nd time. Some of you ladies are fast! ;)

No I haven't reported anyone, ever. Even when they've made comments I don't think are appropriate, I usually address it with a PM. Although there are definitely moms on here who I absolutely do not like. As there are moms who do not like me.
