I replied to a question earlier today and ........now it is gone. I got a few flowers for my answers and , the question is just gone. I didn't know you could delete questions you asked. How do you do it?

What can I do next?

  • Add yourAnswer own comment

  • as inappropriate
  • this with your friends

So What Happened?

Hmm. I didn't think the question was inappropriate :/ I was looking forward to reading other peoples advice. Thanks! Oh, it was about a woman who found her husband was on inappropriate dating websites and such.
PS - what is flaming??

I saw and responded to that question - if it's the one about being on her husband's computer and she saw he had been on three inappropriate websites. Could have been deleted because most of it was in ALL CAPS? I don't remember her mentioning any website but then my memory isn't that great!! lol!!

I, too, wanted to see the responses. Too bad it was deleted.

If enough people click the Report this as inappropriate" button the site automatically takes down the question. Sometimes it surprises me what stays up and what gets taken down.

Mamapedia has site moderators. Those moderators review questions. If they are deemed inappropriate, then they are removed. You can read the Terms and Conditions when you post a question.

Flaming - intentionally calling another person out and mocking or demeaning them...

Swearing - for the most part - swearing is not tolerated. I know there are times when it has been looked over. But if there is swearing and someone reports it - it is pulled.

Selling or soliciting - you can't offer your services for something by "asking" a question - like one person came on and wanted to sell her baby toys. If someone asks a question like "where can I find baby toys" and another person responds "I live near you and have some for sale" that is fine.

There are people who go back and edit their questions and remove all the words, but unless the question is reported and pulled, it stays there...just like accounts, if you ask Mamapedia to delete your account, you will lose access to your account but all of your questions and comments stay.

Hope that helps!

If it was reported mamapedia can delete the question. If the questiond does not follow the rules, mamapedia will delete the question.

You can't delete a question.

Perhaps, people reported the question, or mamapedia thought it was inappropriate. Most likely, enough people reported. Was the content of the question controversial or flaming? People were probably offended.

I didn't see the question. Did it seem that she was trying to hawk the website? If so, it could be that MP thought that it was a veiled advertisement. We can't advertise here - you have to pay MP for ads.

If she blew somebody's post out because she didn't like it, that will get a question and the entire thread pulled.

It was removed. I think the question you are referring to turned into a "flaming SWH" and flaming is not allowed.

Was there a link in the original question? I think that's against the rules unless it's in the SWH section.
