Hand Outs at a Fair

Ok ladies! I have a bit of a problem with a private school fair that I am doing for my sons' school. The school is VERY small and we put a lot of our budget into this big fair that is done every year. We will be one of the smallest schools (if not the smallest) represented at the fair but have the highest standardized test scores and ratings from outside groups than ANY other private school in the state and hit above the top 10% in the nation in some categories! In short, the school is VERY impressive but no one knows about them.

What I am trying to do is make sure they stand out over and above the other schools even though we do not have the budget to do what the big schools do. One of the things we thought of is to hand out those reuseable cloth bags and have our logo and a clever saying on it. That way all the material that people are getting will be put in a bag with our schools info on it and that they may even keep for a time. I actually found these things and was having them printed for a $1 each (I was amazed) only to find out yesterday that they are going to miss the deadline! AACK!!!

So here is where I am this morning, I need some quick brainstorming. Any ideas for a different hand out? Any ideas on a different place that can do the bags in time? Anything?

Thank you so much everyone! This little school works so hard to keep kids learning and spiritual, I really want to help them succeed, not only for my children but all the students and the great staff that dedicates their lives to them.

You might still want to get the bags for the parents at the school so that every time they use the bag they advertise the school.

I'm not sure what the big schools do. If you don't have time for printed materials, is there anything that could be made? Do you know anyone who could design a cool logo that could be ironed on by staff? What about Oriental Trading? Go to their site and type in "Personalize". Or http://www.personalizationmall.com. Not as cheap as your $1 bags, but they usually have a fast turnaround. You could also make cupcakes and get toothpicks and either get school stickers or use labels to make double-sided toppers for them.

Back in my trade show days (I'm assuming this is like a trade show), we used to always rent a popcorn maker. The smell of popcorn is irresistable - people will FLOCK to get the free popcorn, and then you can talk up the school. Maybe you could get small bags to use for the popcorn printed in time.

Trust me... at first I thought this was corny (no pun intended) but it really drove traffic to our booth! Lots of luck.

Maybe you could make up a flyer that talks about your school's great scores. Make the print big and don't write too much. That is what the ladies will remember, if you want them to learn about your school. You could put them inside the bags you give out and also just hand out the flyers to the people who stop at your table.

I love the magnetic picture frames. They are on the fridge, fondly holding a picture of something important (the child) and they think of your school.
The pop out in the middle should have some good statistics and contact information (web site) on both.
In terms of where to get bags, not sure in CO.

You could buy the bags as is and have them or another company print the logo and saying on a sticker. Then peel and stick your logo onto the bags and hand them out. It will probably even save money. The bags can be bought much cheaper without the design and the stickers will be much cheaper to print.
