Haircut Place for Kids?

Anyone have a recommendation for a good haircut place for kids in the Kenmore/Bothell area? I have three boys with tons of hair :) We tried Great Clips for a long time but when our regular person left it was awful. Then we got lucky with a place in Kenmore called Salon Sport but new owners sent our regular gal packing so we are back to square one. I still take my three year old to Kids Cuts but can't afford to spend $65 for all three every month so does anyone have a suggestion or a good place to go? I know this is not a big deal but I am just frustrated as I tried a new place this weekend and they did a terrible job and we have school pictures this week :( Looking to spend no more than $15. Thanks for the help!

We go to Bella and max in Country Village in Bothell. They have a hair salon upstairs. The kids get to ride on a plane or in a car and watch a movie while they get their hair cut. It's around 22 dollars but that's what I've found with most kid hair cut places. You also get a free train ride ticket to ride the train at country village. My 3 year old daughter loves getting her haircut there and then going for a train ride.

I take my four kids to SuperCuts in Mill Creek Town Center or Hair Masters on Bothell-Everett Hwy (near 164th). I don't use a regular person, but I get better results at HairMasters. My littlest one doesn't like to hold still much, but my 4 year old loves being there and they look forward to getting the sucker at the end.

S.,

For an actual haircut place I've been recommended Hair Designers-Family Hair Center in Bothell right where the Bothell-Everett highway starts. It's a little hole in the wall with a green awning right behind the Safeway.

Another thought that I use in my house is a set of clippers. We bought our at Target for about $35, and there are different length setting from 1/8 of an inch to 1 inch. I cut both my husband's and my son's hair this way. I'm nowhere near a professional when it comes to cutting hair, so they both get their whole head cut the same length, but it doesn't look too bad.

Hope this helps,
Melissa

It may be too late for your school pics, but for future reference, and if you want to head into Edmonds, we have a great barber who does super cute boys haircuts (no bowl look or straight line across the forehead - yay!), and is awesome with little boys. His name is Auda and he is at Fred's Barbershop right near Edmonds Woodway High School, Tuesday thru Saturday. $12 per haircut I think. A bunch of my friends with little boys take them there, we all love him. You might have to look up the address, I'm not sure offhand what it is.

Hi S.,

I go to a place called Dawn's Hair Shop. It is just a small place behind the Valero Gas station at 196th(Filbert Road) just south of 24th ave. There are 2 very nice ladies there and the price is 9.50 for a haircut. My youngest is high functioning autism. my boys are 7 and 8. They both do very well with these ladies and they get to pick a prize out of the treasure chest if they are good. I have been going here for about a year now and never had a problem.
