I was a girl scout leader for years and one favorite camp recipe was campfire stew. I made this for the day care kids and they all loved it.
1 pound ground beef
1 large can of alphabet soup
1 onion diced
1 large can of tomatoe juice
salt and pepper to taste
you brown the ground beef and onions then add the other items. For day care we would add chili beans to it and call it Cowboy stew... anything cowboy made the little ones gobble it up.

You could do cressent tacos. They are just as easy as regular ones but with a little twist. all you do is make the toco meat then put the cressents on a pan like a sun shape put meat and a little cheese on the wide part roll and tuck the small end and bake for the time it says for the cressents. When there done people can put there own toppings on.

This has become a favorite ..........
CROCKPOT PIZZA
Large crockpot
layer each item as listed:
Brown 1.5 pounds hamburger
1 jar spagetti sauce
4 cups mozzarella cheese
1 package kluski noodles (uncooked)
1 jar spagetting sauce
1 package pepperoni
4 cups mozzarella cheese
Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 7-8 hours
You can use less cheese to make it a little less expensive, however this will feed a crowd easily. It's super easy - the hardest part is browning the meat and everyone loves it.

This one is a winner at our house, and i make it whenever new people come over, as even the pickiest people love it.
ALso, check out the website "recipezaar.com" as it has a recipe for crockpot LASAGNA that is just as tasty - and better - as Stouffer's. Also, a lady spent all of 2008 using her crockpot everyday. Her blogspot was crockpot365.blogspot.com and her archives have tons of amazing recipes. Good luck!
Pizza Pasta Casserole
1 lb ground beef
1/2 c chopped onion
1 clove garlic, pressed (optional)
8-10 oz cooked and drained pasta
1 jar spaghetti sauce
1 -2 c mozzarella cheese
pepperoni slices
Brown meat with onion, (and garlic if desired). Drain fat. Add spaghetti sauce and pasta, mix well. Pour into a greased 9x13 dish and sprinkle cheese over all. Place pepperonis on top. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is nice and bubbly. OR pour into crockpot and cook on low or warm for about an hour. (or til bubbly)

Check out Mr.Dells' Potato recipes on the Mr.Dells website. There is a recipe called something like Hamburger + Potato + Cheese casserole. You brown 2 LBS ground beef with an onion. Layer it on the bottom of a 9x13 pan. You warm a 26 ounce can of cream of chicken soup with 1/4 cup milk until smooth and warm. Then dump a bag of frozen hashbrown potatoes and layer that over the hamburger layer. Once you have the meat layer and the potato layer you drizzle the soup/milk mixture over it to cover the potatoes and meat completely. The top with cheddar cheese (I think a LB). You bake for 30 minutes at about 350. Kids love it because it is cheesy potatoes and hamburger. We are going to start sneaking in veggies like corn and broccoli next time we make it.

we like tater tot cassaroll and you dont just have to bake it in the oven. i eather heat up the the tater tots in the micawave or if if u want them a little crunchie bake then in the oven and then smash them up and add them to your french style green beens, cream of musroom soup, and ground beef (i like to use half ground turky and half ground beef turky is cheaper and u cant tell the different when you mix them together) you can then put this in your cock pot to heat up or you can heat it up on the stove and then put it in the cock pot then it takes less time to heat. this is something that is realy easy and that you could make even the day before.
i sometimes add other vegs. that my 2year wont eat and he dosent even know that they r in there
well i hope this helps alittle

try just hamburgers.. or search the internet. if you make 'chili' without using chili seasonings would that help? its tasty, especially if yuo add corn and green beans, and just before serving add some green/red/yellow/orange peppers. add some salt for seasoning if you want i spose... :D

Meatballs are a great thing....Leave some plain for dipping themselves, and add sauce to others...here's a recipe from my mom's friend.
She usually doubles or triples the recipe.
Meatball ingredients.
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 cup quick oatmeal
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 egg
Sauce ingredients
1 cup catsup
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbspn chopped onion
2 tsp. liquid smoke
Put the first 8 ingrdients for the meatballs in a large bowl and mix well by hand. Form into balls (whatever size you prefer). Place in baking dish (I usually line the pan with aluminum foil). Make only one layer. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes in a 350 oven.
Then mix the 4 ingredients for the sauce in a bowl. Stir well. Put meatballs in a crockpot and pour sauce over top of meatballs Heat in crock pot until warm. Enjoy!
Meatballs are great to freeze any leftovers for later.!!

Mac -n Cheese Goulash (sp?)
Make up some mac -n cheese (maybe with velveeta) and then add in cooked ground beef. You should be able to keep it in a crock pot on warm or low. You may need to add a little water or milk to keep it from getting too dry. Don't let it sit too long as the macaroni may become too mushy. If it sounds good and if the kids will eat it, add some veggies.
Have fun!
