I was just wondering if any of you ladies have ever been to this new hotel with the indoor water park. My husband and I are thinking about taking our two children 17mo. and 11 for a weekend during the summer. Is this hotel worth the money? Is it something that will keep all of us entertained for the whole weekend or is it more of a one night thing? My husband is afraid that we will get bored with it. We live in the area so it's not like we would want to leave to go do something else as we would if we were torrists.

What can I do next?

It's very expensive and I couldn't find any discounts so we didn't go. But the one thing I'd do for your 11 year old is let him bring a friend. Even if you don't let him spend the night you can have a friend come during the day and pay like another $30 for him to play in the water park. That way everyone will be happy and you can hang with the baby.

The Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine is awesome. The opening room rates start at 199.00 but it is worth it. My family has been to one and we loved it. They have an indoor water park, story time in front of a huge clock,a game room/arcade and a craft room for the kids to make things and cool cabin bunk beds for the kids. It was so much fun. We stayed at the water park the entire time. We are planning another trip there very soon!

We had friends (with kids age 8, 6, 4) stay there last month and they loved it. They have grand opening rates on their website. The parents loved the margaritas and other adult-stuff and the kids loved all the various activities.
