anyone know of a great park with slides and stuff for little kids
Where are you located? Most cities have a website that will show you city parks and where they are located.

On the westside, our favorites are the children's park at Playa Vista Sports Park and Reed Park in Santa Monica. Reed Park is at 7th and Wilshire, and is enclosed - a sandbox with slides and a few swings that my 20-month old can enjoy almost independently. The Playa Vista Park has a lot more to it - slides, interactive areas, a bouncy bridge, swings, even a little rock-wall to climb, but would require more active supervision as kids from 1 to 10 frequently run around the place. If you go to Reed Park, be sure to take some sand toys (buckets and shovels or even kitchen bowls/measuring cups will do) and be prepared for a mess. The Playa Vista Park has the spongy rubber surface and is delightful. Both parks will keep her entertained for a while. Have fun!

You don't say where you live. If you're in the SF Valley there is Encino Park on Ventura between Balboa and Hayvenhurst or Balboa Park on Woodley between Burbank and Victory. Griffith Park also has a great children's park plus it has the Zoo.
