Toddler Friendly Playgrounds near Valley Ranch/Coppell?

Most of the playgrounds I see don't have many things for small toddlers to play on such as swings and things to climb. Any hidden gems I don't know about?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

We hit up the park behind Tom Landry elementary and had a good time. They have 2 toddler swings which he loved. Also checked out the aquatic park and think it might be a fun outing during the summer. Thanks for the tips- I'm filing them away so we can make the playground rounds!

Hi J.:
I have a suggestion for rainy days...
Going Bonkers, right next to Vista Ridge Mall, has a great toddler area that is seperated from the big kids play area. It's padded, has a great (wide) slide, a type of bouncy area, a 'forest' of swinging padded poles to walk through, a tunnel. My almost two year old loves it, so does the 2 1/2 year old that I babysit. My 8 year old son loves it, too! He's ends up getting really sweaty running around with his friends. The prices (if I remember correctly) are: $5 for children over 2, $2.00 for the younger ones and $2.00 for parents.

I know of a good one in Grapevine off Dove Rd and Park but that might be a little far for you. In the summer time they have these cute dolphins that spray water....there is a big field to run and the whole park is handicap equipped so it has a lot of ramps instead of things to climb they can just walk up the ramps to get to the slides...it has a lot of slides and swings and the dolphins are sure fun in the summer I can't wait to take my 14 month old there this summer, but we just live down the street from there so it isn't too far for us!

The best I have found are at the malls. I know the Galleria has a great playarea on the top floor. The Northeast Mall also has a great area it is located where the old theatre was. Both are made of form and have soft flooring. Have fun!

There is a cute park on Valley Ranch Parkway right next to Tom Landry Elementary School in Valley Ranch. They are currently building a waterpark by the rec center, but the park has an area for toddlers and another (behind the school) for big kids.

I like Kid Kountry too. It is on Parkway BLVD past CVS by the aquatic center on the left if you are coming from Denton Tap Rd.

There is a park on the corner of Kinwest and Regent in Las Colinas, across the street from Irving Bible Church (- may be called Mustang Park?) It's a little south of Valley Ranch, but they have 2 different play areas with some smaller equipment. My daughter loved it when she was smaller.

Definitely check out Kid Country in Coppell. It's on Parkway next to the Aquatic center. When my kids were little, we spent hours and hours there. It's like a little wooden fortress with lot's of neat things to do along the way. Great for Toddlers.

We also have Duck Pond Park here in Coppell on Bethel School Road. I see a lot of small children playing there.
