Good Portrait Studios in the Milwaukee, WI Area?

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a good portrait studio for my 18 month old's pictures in or around the Milwaukee area. Any place other than Sears, JC Penneys, Picture People, Kiddie Kandids, Wal-Mart, Target, and K-Mart. Is there any place out there that takes great pictures, but doesn't charge outrageous prices? I found one place, but they wanted $200 for a sitting fee and then each sheet was $50 - $100! Thanks for your help.

Hi C.-

There is a really nice portrait studio by brookfield square next to the food court called Portrait Innovations. Right now they have a 10 dollar special for one pose where you get 1 10 x 13, 2 8 x 10, 4 5 x 7, 4 3 1/2 x 5, 32 wallets and 6 greeting cards. They never charge a sitting fee. If you would like to order anymore poses they range from 16-25 dollars and each pose comes with 1 8 x 10, 2 5 x 7, and 8 wallets. They have to take 30 some pictures after they take the pictures they have you wait 5 minutes so they can load their camera onto the camera and then they will help you narrow down your pictures, you can just get the 10 dollar package if that is all you want. The more poses you buy the cheaper the poses cost and then they will continue to add more free 10 x 13 pictures. They will also give you a cd with all of the pictures they took. After you pick out your pictures they will have you come back in 15 minutes and all of your pictures will be ready for you to take home that day. If your child is hard to take pictures of like mine is at times, they will have another employee come into the room and play with your child so that the photographer just has to worry about taking the pictures. We have gone there two times now and love it. We tried the picture people and sears and found that it was costing way too much money. They are very reasonable and have a very pleasant atmosphere plus they are very organized. I hope this helps. Sincerely, M.

Have you looked at celebrity kids? They are by Brookfield Square on Bluemound Rd. I haven't used them (we have a photographer in the family - otherwise I would). they are more than the places you mentioned, but I feel they still have reasonable package prices. Good luck.

C.,

I have a good friend who does baby/family photography. She's reasonable and takes beautiful pictures. The only thing is that they are not posed, like at Sears or whatever. She likes to take the pictures in your home. They really capture the beauty of your child and their own personality.
Her name is Jill Sanchez and her number is ###-###-####. Tell her A. Kremer suggested her.
good luck!

Try Fresh Frame Photography, at www.freshframephotography.com. A friend recommended Sarah to me and she was awesome. She used to be a teacher and really has a way with kids. SUCH sweet pictures, and not too expensive-- We paid $80 for a sitting fee and prints were reasonable. I wanted them all and she offers a LookBook which is a great way to get more pics for less than if you bought a 5X7 of each. Hope this helps!

We like Sears at southridge. We always use a coupon in the parents magazine, and it is very reasonable. We also only buy our favorite pose/poses, and stay within a small budget. We never buy the packages because it can get costly that way. Good luck!
