Ramen is bad b/c of the gazillion amounts of sodium! But we eat it too, usually with celery, carrots and mushrooms. I usually try and use half a packet of the flavoring to make me feel better.

Seems like pasta is getting a bad rap with this question. Ramen isn't bad for you unless that's all you eat. Adding the tofu and broccoli made this a healthy dish.

As to other noodles, they are enriched and so you are getting some nutrition from them. If you're concerned about the carbs use whole grain noodles which will add fiber to the dish. And.....we do need carbs in our diet.

It's so sad that people give up good food just because it's not good for you in excess. Moderation is one key in a healthy diet.

I take healthy food and make it bad.
I love lightly sauteed vegetables. Onions, mushrooms, tomatoes in a skillet with a butter or evoo and fresh garlic, maybe a little cilantro thrown in. Just like that is probably bad enough, but sometimes I toss that in pasta and melt a buttload of cheese on top.

Oh gosh. I take a perfectly healthy baked potato and scoop out the potato and mix it with a little sour cream, a little cream cheese, a little butter, a little milk, a little cheddar, some salt and pepper and chives. Then I stuff it back into the potato skin, top it with more cheese and chives and bake it some more. Yep, that's my super duper twice baked potato. Yes, bad, but it's soooooooo good!!!

I think strawberry shortcake.

Strawberries are so good for you, but once you sugar them, put them on top of cake and cover it all in whipped cream I think the good is cancelled out.

Dr. Pepper and anything but especially my zucchini tomato casserole. But have given those up (DP that is.)
Ramen is bad because of salt and saturated fat.

my ILs love this dish: spinach/potatoes over fried egg noodles.

The noodles are sooo bad for you! They can be made with EggBeaters, but you still have the carb issues & they're fried in butter/margarine/etc. No way to improve this dish....health-wise! & yes, we just had it over the wkend. Yummm....but only 1-2 times per year is allowed....

& then we have my gma's potato salad: made with mayo, bacon, bacon grease, & sugar! OMG....we now call it a "heart attack in a bowl". OH, & I forgot...she used to put a raw egg in it, too.... yuck. (I know real mayo is made w/ eggs...but to pour a beaten raw egg over potato salad. Gross!)
