Going to a Concert When Pregnant?

I was just wondering if anyone had any info/advice on going to a concert when preggers. I am 28 weeks. It is a Bryan Adams concert, so not a heavy metal...but probably still somewhat loud. I have heard it isn't good to go while preggers. Thoughts? Experience? Thank You!

What can I do next?

I saw Bon Jovi & Daughtry when I was 7 months pregnant... aside from my daughter not liking Daughtry (and still doesn't at 10 months old!), she was rocking to Bon Jovi. :)

I can tell you with all certainty - she's suffered no ill effects from going to her first concert in utero. Have fun!

I saw Genesis in Chicago when I was around 6 months and didn't have any issues. I would just recommend not sitting so close to a speaker if you can.

Hi K.,

I'm the type of mom who researches almost everything before making decisions...I feed my daughter organic food, give her fish oil supplements, buy her bleach-free/safe dye jammies, etc.

That being said, my husband and I LOVE to go to concerts together and we saw the Vines when I was 7 months pregnant. It was awesome and I had a great time. Sierra kicked a bunch inside me, but it could also have been due to the fact that I was dancing:) Before we went my mom said, "babies don't like the new rock music," which only annoyed me (I'm hardly young - my hubby and I are almost 40) But, I couldn't find anything concrete to suggest that I not go.
We bought a ex-tra small Vines t-shirt for the baby and now we've gotten into a habit of buying our daughter a t-shirt whenever we go to a concert...she has quite the collection now: White Stripes, Beck, Black Crows, and more. Have a great time.

Hi K.~

You have nothing to worry about. My husband is the singer of a local rock band. I went with him all the time when his band would sing with #4. With #5 I didn't go as much but was there quite a bit. The only thing I notice is that both of them love music!! Wether its because of them hearing it all the time while inside of me or if its just in thier blood like daddy we will never know. :) As far as concerns of it harming the baby... there is nothing that will harm the baby. If its really loud then you will probally feel more activity than normal but it wont hurt thier ears or harm anything else. Have fun!! (Bryan Adams was the first concert I ever went to and loved it... your lucky!)

I went to John Mayer/Maroon 5 concert when I was 9 months pregnant. It was in Colorado too, so I had to hike up the side of mountain to get to our seats. I actually asked the dr if it was ok with being so loud. They said it is pretty muffled in there. It was fine. The baby moved a lot when the music stopped. I think she liked the vibration. She has never had an issue with loud noises and loves music.
Enjoy the concert!

I saw Prince a few years ago when I was pregnant with my second... and Pearl Jam when pregnant with him too, come to think of it :) He is kind of a nut, maybe that is why (haha).

I was never told not to go. It didn't seem to have any effect on me or baby.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
Jessica

I saw Maroon 5 when I was pregnant with my first and he's just fine. I say have a good time!

Congrats on being a cancer survivor! I wouldn't worry too much because the baby is tucked inside well. The baby will hear it maybe but I don't think it would cause any damage. I'd personally would take a precaution and not stand right in front of the speakers or anything. JMO.
