Finding a Good OB in My Area

Congradulations on the new baby. I am sorry you are living away from family. I am not living away from mine. They all moved away.

This is my doctor. I see her in the Hudson office. I LOVE HER. I was high risk. This doctor takes MOST insurance and also state medicaid.

I mean she is a down home doctor. She tells you the truth. She is also part of a practice. I love them all.

I had 2 children in this practice. I LOVE EVERYONE OF THEM!!!

I go to Paragon Health Associates. They have doctors and midwives. I have seen the midwives for years now. They take whatever time you need to answer your questions and are just very down to earth. The same midwife delivered my 2 children and I am now pregnant with my 3rd. From friends that I know that go there the doctors are wonderful as well. Their phone # is ###-###-#### and they are off of White Pond Drive in Akron. They have other offices as well, but this is the one that I go to.

Congratulations! I use Obstetrics & Gynecology of The Reserve, 799 Wye Road Bath, Ohio 44333 ###-###-####. There are three doctors that I would recommend, Dr. Ross Marchetta, Dr. Sejal Pederson (female) and Dr. Craig Polifrone. Funny because I know Dr. Burton, that another person metioned, and I really didn't like her. In The Reserve you can see any of the doctors and switch each appoitment (and you will have a lot of them for your pregnancy) so you can get to know each one and then pick one as your gyn doctor.

Dr. Eric Mc Knight at Paragon Health Associates at the White Pond location is absolutely fantastic. He delivered my second child by c-section.

I see Dr. Jadallah at The Womens Health Group. I go to the office in Green (East Turkeyfoot Lake Road), but they have offices in Tallmadge and Akron, too. I started going there in the early 90's when it was a solo practice with one office. I think there are 5 doctors in the practice now, and 3 offices...and I still get amazing, personal attention.

Dr. Jadallah is just GREAT. He's very personable and funny, and I've always felt very comfortable with him. Plus, my birth experiences couldn't have been better. They were like clockwork. He's really got it down to a science.

The office staff is also very personable. They create scrapbooks of all the babies they've delivered, and they add other family/holiday photos througout the years. It's fun to browse through the scrapbooks in the waiting room. I was amazed to discover a bunch of familiar faces -- colleagues at work, neighbors, schoolmates of my girls, etc.

Anyway, good luck with your pregnancy!! It looks like you've gotten some good recommendations, and I hope this has helped.

I am not sure if you have insurance issues, but the OB I saw with my 2nd was wonderful. His name is David Biats, he has a clinic called A Woman's Place in Cuyahoga Falls on State Rd. and has some clinic hours in Falls Family Practice in Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital.

Welcome to the area! And congrats on your new little one! I agree with Jennifer in regards to Dr. Jadallah and The Women's Health Group. I have been seeing the doctors in that practice for 7 years now and would not even consider switching. My primary OB/GYN doctor at that practice is Dr. John Hutzler, but I have seen all of the doctors in the group and each one is very competent, compassionate, and caring.

I began going there when I was experiencing some female problems and was not finding help at other GYN offices. What I found was understanding and excellent care. I now have a 5 year old beautiful daughter. I am currently trying to concieve again. Over the past year I have had two miscarriages - but again the doctors were so compassionate & understanding. After some testing we have determined the cause of the miscarriages and I am waiting to see if I am currently pregnant.

Because of all of my experiences, I can say with complete confidence that these doctors truly care about their patients. They have been there for me through great times - but have also been there for me during the worst times too. Like Jennifer, I also go to the office in Green (it actually is a south Akron address - ###-###-####) but I have been to the one in Tallmadge for ultrasounds. Something else that has been important is how the office staff has treated me. They have always been very friendly and cordial.
