My husband and I had this conversation last night. Which famous person would you be disappointed to find out that they were jerks in real life?

I had a few:
Tom Hanks _ I mean really? Doesn't he seem to be such a nice person? I would be sad if he wasn't!
Brad Pitt - Sure, he's a little weird, but he seems like a genuinely nice person. Plus, he graduated from my home town. :)
J. Anniston- She supposed to be everyones best friend.
George Clooney- He too seems just like a nice, laid back sort of fella.
Milo Ventimiglia - Ok, I haven't seem him in too many interviews, but he's my current Hollywood crush, so, you know.

I've never met any of these people, just making assumptions from interviews. But, I would hope they would be as pleasant as they seemed. So who are yours?

What can I do next?

The way I look at it...in order to WANT to be very famous with all the attention and "power" associated...you have to posses quite an ego. Also tremendous insecurity and need to be loved by everyone. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I'm willing to be the majority of celebrities are insecure egomaniacs. I think most celebrities have plenty of jerk in them. Rarely do people make it to that level without being a jerk. I would never be disappointed, because I kind of would expect it!!

Carrie Underwood... after watching her rise to fame from a farm girl on American Idol to a country super star, I would be so disappointed if she turned out to be a diva witch in real life.

Bill Clinton. I need him to be warm and engaging just like people always say.
Also Angelina Jolie. If she didn't talk to me about war torn lands, underprivelaged kids, and then try to make out with me, I'd be very disapointed.

John Corbett - aiden on sex and the city.

Oprah- because that would not be right.

I guess I'd be bummed if brad Pitt was a jerk too, what a waste that would be of absolute eerily perfect looks.

Will and Jada Smith - Divorce Rumors aside, they seem like two very kind well paired people

Oprah - I think I would be greatly depressed if she turned out to be a mean person!

JK Rowling - such a mind could not possibly be mean spirited

I agree with Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson!

Drew Berrymore and Cameron Diaz seem like two goofy sweethearts.

Emma Watson and Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson!

Sandra Bullock.

I love her as an actress and I would be very dissapointed if she was actually a rude person.

Chery Ol: I met Vince Gill years ago while working at a hotel he was staying at and he was extremely rude!! He was walking to his room and I told him how big of a fan we were and loved his music... he said " I suppose you want an autograph" then grabbed paper off of my cart and wrote his name on it and more or less threw it at me.

Now Neil McCoy (also playing with Vince Gill) and his band was so friendly! A friend and I was playing in the pool after work and the band joined us in the pool and played ping pong with us after about an hour Neil McCoy joined us ( I think my jaw hit the floor!) then the band told us who they were... then gave us free VIP tickets and back stage passes :) It was such a fun night

oooohhh good question!!

My sister and BIL met Bob Hope and Bob Barker at a golf tournament YEARS ago and were VERY disappointed at how rude they were. I guess when you have people in your face every day - it can get to you. Doesn't make their behavior right...

I'd be disappointed if some of the newer actors and singers were rude to people. I can't think of specific people right now - but it would be totally disappointing that people who rely on fans to make their money would be rude to them!

I was thinking Ellen too. Some people mentioned Oprah and I think that she might not be that nice because so many people probably want a piece of her. I used to watch how she would greet guests on the show. Everyone wants a hug, but sometimes she went toward people with her hands up and grasped their hands and shook them in a way to kind of keep them off her.

I don't know about all of them, but by all accounts Tom Hanks and George Clooney are truly nice--kind to everybody, etc. I recently visited Maysville, KY, where Clooney grew up (a VERY small town), and he visits there a lot and never acts like he's anything special. His grandmother is Rosemary Clooney, i think.

It is always sad to me, even on a smaller level, when people who have influence and praise turn ugly. Perhaps they already were, or perhaps the knowledge of how much people adore them brings out this side. It's sad more than anything.

We went on the Price is Right show when Bob Barker hosted it. When the taping was stopped for comercial break...he turned to look and say something to one of the stage hands and his face was all pinched and he was talking and pointing real mean. You never know!
