Fake Tan

Every now and then I like to change things up. So although I usually rock my paleness I want to try a self-tanner. I can't go get a spray tan because I have no time. (My dentist office is practically harrassing me to schedule an appointment but I really can't get away.) Has anyone who has really fair skin used a self tanner with good results? Are they all going to make me look orange? I haven't used a product like that in probably 7 years so I don't know if there have been major improvements.

The most fantastic self tanner is Bare Escentuals Faux Tan. It looks so real that people think that you have spent time at the beach. It smells great too. I am telling you this stuff really ROCKS!!!

I've extremely fair skinned (redhead) and do well with the Jergens Natural Glow and a similar product from Olay. They're both designed to work gradually. I made the mistake of using one by L'Oreal that bronzes skin and it made big orange streaks on my legs that took forever to go away. Definitely go for the products that work gradually -- they're the best for fair skin.

The Jergen's is good but smells kinda funky. Banana Boat has a spray that works really well and smells a lot better. If you're willing to spend a few extra $$ try Fake Bake - they sell it at Ulta - it's the best I've ever used. It looks like pudding when you put it on - and it's best to put it on before going to bed - but is never streaky and looks natural - I even used it the night before my wedding. Good luck!!!

Very few if any turn you orange any more. Exfoliate really well and then try one that's a gradual tanner, I use the Mary Kay one, usually just on my legs since they don't get the color my arms usually do. I use it like 2 days in a row and get a good color then maintain it by using it every two days or so.

My daughter has gotten spray tan at a tanning place for a figure competition. The key to all of these is you must exfolliate first! Get all the dry skin off so that the color is even and can b absorbed into the skin. It's the 2nd and 3rd day afterwards where it starts to look freaky. This includes your fingers and toes.
Good Luck. It's a great option.

First off, can I just say that I LOVE that you said you 'rock the paleness'! We could be BFFs :) In answer to your question, I think that Lancome Flash Bronzer is pretty much the best of the best. It's about $25. I've used Jergens too and it's really good for the price, but I cannot stand the smell.

I bought Neutrogena Airbrush tan last weekend and LOVE it!!! You just spray it and go, no rubbing. It looks like there's a face bronzed all over your face...perfect!! CVS has the best deals usually, like extra bucks for spending a certain amount. Before that, I used the Neutragena Sun Mist for years. It's the best brand for me.

I use it and love it. I'm so pale and it does not turn my skin orange. I use the Coppertone brand right now but I have also used the Neutragena and I liked it too.

i used the flash bronzer from lancome, it was expensive but it worked well. It looked best if i put it on at night, then showered in the morning. It lasted a few days and wasnt streaky

M.,
I use the Subtle Tanning Lotion from Mary Kay for $16. It does NOT leave you orange and you don't have to use another lotion to stay moisturized! Love it! The best part is that it is 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed so if it does not meet your expectations you can return it! I have been so impressed with the integrity of this guarantee and the products that I have chosen to be a consultant!
I have this product on hand if you wish to try it!
You will never have a drawer full of "oops" purchases when it comes to Mary Kay and no matter where you live I can take care of you since there are no territories.
Just for you,
R.
