I had a miscarriage about 4 months ago. I am supposed to start my period on friday(which is in 2 days) but i have been feeling pregnancy like symptoms so i went ahead and took 2 pregnancy test. And on both the second line is extremly faint. I could bearly see it because it is so light. Has anyone had this experience? Can it be a possitive? Or a false positive?

What can I do next?

I'm sorry about your miscarriage.

Pregnancy tests aren't always reliable, of course. But if you've been having unprotected sex, it stands to reason that pregnancy is possible. Even protected sex isn't a 100% guarantee, right? So you have a decision to make: 1) Wait to either get a period or have a more advanced pregnancy with more hormones, 2) Keep spending money on home tests, 3) See your doctor or family planning clinic for a blood test.

Go to your doctor next week and get a blood test. That will be the best test for you. Typically the second line means you are pregnant - but you say EXTREMELY FAINT - it changes after a period of time. Go to your doctor NEXT WEEK and get a blood test.

I'm sorry for your loss, miscarriages are hard.

It might be positive. But it might be a "false positive" if you looked at the test after the time on the package (like it says wait 2 minutes and you checked again an hour later and saw the faint line.). It is also possible to get a false positive for several months after a pregnancy loss, as it takes a while for your body to be completely back to normal. I would recommend acting as if you are pregnant but try not to get your hopes up too far just yet. Go see your doctor or wait a few weeks and try another test.

I suggest that what you're seeing is the chemical line that turns deep pink when you're pregnant. The line has become visible because the top layer is wet. I suggest the way you feel can be caused by the change in hormones related to the lost pregnancy. Or because your body is still in transition getting ready for having periods.

FYI Dollar Store tests are just as good as expensive ones.

Pregnancy tests are looking to see if a particular hormone is present. If the hormone is present, you are pregnant. A faint line means the level of that hormone is low, but it's still there. Basically, the hormone is either present or it's not. If it's present, you're pregnant.

Congratulations.

You probably are pregnant. Please start taking pregnancy vitamins right away - you need the folic acid to help prevent neural tube defects like spina bifida and some forms of cleft palate. The first 8 weeks of gestation are critical for that.

I'd make sure that you talk to the ped about this to make sure that you don't have a Fallopian tube pregnancy. Hopefully this is a viable pregnancy this time around. Wishing you the very best luck with this!

Try taking another test first thing in the morning (your first bathroom trip). It has been said that is when the hormone level is the highest and optimum time to take a preg test. But it sounds like you are pregnant to me! Congrats!

there should be a 800 number on the box. They can best advise you. My only suggestion would be to wait until you've missed your period and your hormone levels would be stronger. Good luck

Go to the dr and get a blood test. But even a faint line is still a positive line.

I have gotten that before. It was because I was taking the test too early. I ended up being pregnant with the barely there lines.

Congratulations you are pregnant!! If you can see that line you are pregnant. It has been too long sense you miscarried to still have hcg in your system from that. False positives are very very very very rare.

I have been in your shoes. Get some super cheap dollar store tests and take one each morning. The line will get darker and darker each day until it feels really real for you and you can really see the line. Do it first thing in the morning.

I am happy for you. Big hugs!!
