Very Faint, Faint, Faint, Faint Line on Pregnancy Test?

Is the line suppose to show blue? If so, then it is a positive test. If its suppose to be another color then I'd get a blood test from my doctor...

My pregnancy test was very faint line 13 years ago and I was pregnant with Twins!!!

Yup...it's a positive! Your hormones that keep your body from rejecting the embryo haven't kicked into high gear yet, that's why the line is faint. But any hint of a line if a positive. Congrats!

Sounds like it is positive but make sure you're reading the test within the time window. I was one of those desperate people that wanted a positive so bad that I dug it out of the trash the next day and thought it was positive. Turns out it was an evaporation line. Congrats.

Try a different brand of tester now?

Get a different brand and do it again! I have heard that with a pregnancy test, it will give a false negative, but NEVER a false positive.

Just because you started doesnt mean your not pregnant..go to dr and get a blood test done!

I had the same thing happen. My Doc says, can have a false negative, but not false positive. I would say you are! Congrats!

Mine did that on my second pregnancy and I ignored it. My husband is a doctor and came home and said a positive is a positive, your pregnant! I took another one a week later and it was a strong positive. If you saw a line in the time they said to look then your pregnant! Congrats!

I second the other comments, I too had a very faint positive and now my DS is 5 months old. Good Luck!!!

As a general rule, the line should get darker each day. All of my pregnancies that lasted the line got darker, and if I compared all the tests you could see progression. When I had miscarriage, the line was slower to get darker or didn't get darker at all. Good luck.

use the tests that say pregnant or not pregnant. I couldn't tell what my tests were saying either b/c the lines were so faint.

I had a very faint positive with my 1st, in fact I had thrown the test away thinking it was negative and went back just to double check (obsession of mine when going through infertility). When I went back there was a very faint line!! I went to the dr that day to confirm it and I was definitely pregnant!

I had the same thing a little over a year ago. Turned out to be a chemical pregnancy.

The SUPER FAINT line was a yes for us. Test each day; it should get darker.

a very faint line for me meant a blighted ovum. Meaning the egg just stopped developing and the egg sack was empty. I would prob take another test in a week to see what you get.

I would call your doctor and get a blood test. I had the same thing and I was pregnant. Good luck.

That is a good perdiction, however I would only go by Blood results and the amount that your LH doubles daily, that will tell the doc if you have a strong positive. I have had many faint positives, be happy but get in to see your obgyn. best wishes. K

I agree with the pp, I took a test the first day it could have possibly worked (several days before AF), and had a very faint line...now I have a beautiful daughter!
