Edelweiss in Fort Worth? Any Experiences?

Has anyone been to Edelweiss in Fort Worth? I've been wanting to try it for years, and am thinking of having my husband take me there for my birthday next month. I love German food, and the website looks promising, but I don't know anyone who has been there.

Thanks :)

It is interesting, the atmosphere is fun but the food is lacking, very greasy. We all had different things and no one has suggested we go back. There is a German place on Bluebonnet circle that I have heard many rave reviews about the food but we have not been there. I can not remember the name.

I went a few weeks ago. The food was good. The place to me looked dirty. So much junk and plastic or silk flowers dust collectors. My boyfriend said the people who normally entertain were no there and not as good as when he was there before. G. W

I LOVE IT!!!! My favorite is the red cabbage - it is wonderful. I would go there once a week if I lived closer.

My husband and I live just down Camp Bowie from Edelweiss and we love it. We'd go more, but it's a bit pricey. Be sure to make reservations and go a bit later so you catch the dancing fun. And don't be too shy to go out with the kids and everyone for the chicken dance. :)

The food is great, but yes it is an old place as stated below. The polka music can get annoying, but it is a fun environment. One time there was a women playing a saw as a musical instrument that was very cool. They have a little dance floor as well. I don't drink beer but they have a very large variety. Definitely try it out!

A Fort Worth classic:) My husband and I love the food, the charm of the place (read: old by some). The polka band is great and the beer is super, too.
Have fun!!

It's a fun place, but old. Did I say old? Ancient...

Why not try one the new restaurants in the Montgomery Plaza area off 7th? There's a new pizza place, the Brownstone, Fred's (burgers), etc. There's a new movie tavern down there as well.

Yummy!!!! My husband and I go at least once a year for someone's birthday and it is fabulous! If we could afford to go more often then we would. Yes, be sure to make a reservation, it is always packed! I haven't found anything on there menu that I don't like. You must try it!

When we lived near it we went once a week its great. Not sure what the place being old has to do with anything the malls old too but we all still go there. You will love it and all it's oldness ;)
