I'm thinking spring and am ready to get outside for some walks!!! I have a 5 month old boy and a 2 1/2 year old girl. For the most part when we go on walks or out and about my girl loves to walk herself, but she does from time to time get tired and wants to ride in the stroller. Right now we have a BOB Revolution which I LOVE so much, and when my ODD wants a ride in the stroller she just sits on top of the wheel part (where the rider's feet are supposed to go). This works ok for now because my 5 month old is bundled up in the other part and his legs aren't that long. But he'll be bigger this summer and so will my ODD. And she sometimes gets mad that her brother gets to ride in the stroller and she can't. I'm wondering if we should invest in a double stroller for this summer. Do you think it's worth the hefty price tag of a BOB Dualie or other double stroller? Especially since my ODD doesn't really ride in the stroller that much? Or are there some other great double strollers out there for a baby and an older child?

What can I do next?

i have twins and i have a wonderful double stroller where you can take the seat out rearrange them and or take one out to make storage space for whatever, i def think it is worth the price if you will use both at times plus the space for more storage is very helpful

Combi twin side by side is my favorite...too bad I didn't get it until my last two. Tried Graco and sit/stand and they are so heavy and hard to push. And the front seat does not recline well and a toddler cannot sleep in it because the back is not tall enough to support their heads. The side by side Combi fits through all doors, both seats recline well and it is so easy to manuver and folds up so small!

If you are a runner, invest in the Duallie. Otherwise, get something cheaper especially if you don't think both will ride that often.

I love my Phil and Ted. Bought it when I had my first, wanting a good all-terrain. It is terrific on walks, and great at the Zoo or shopping too, since it has a very small foot print. The jump seat is clever, not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it does the job well when the preschooler is done walking.

It's expensive, though, but it really is one of those "you only need one stroller" strollers. I am so glad I have it.

We have the Sit 'n Stand and love it. The other moms complained that it was hard for the sitting child to rest his/her head, which is true. However, we got it when our boys were newborn and 2.5. Our 2 year old never slept. I would use it at the mall or around the neighborhood. Now our kids are 5, almost 3, and newborn and we still love it. The 5 and 3 year old will sometimes sit on it together. I don't find it bulky or heavy (and I'm 5' 2" and 100lbs). The side by side would be great for walks, but I don't know how it would get through a single door (like at the mall). Go to Babies R Us and look around!

Ditto to what the previous mom said. I had the sitnstand for a few months before getting a combi twin side by side. My husband and I both hated the sit n stand. It was bulky, awkward and difficult to maneuver. We thought we would love it but it was very difficult to steer and our toddler didn't like the jump (bench) seat becuase he had nowhere to lean or rest his head. We got the combi and LOVE it. I would recommend it to anyone.
