Need Advice on Double Strollers

I have a 13 month old son and am almost 7 months pregnant. I'm looking for some advice on double strollers. I've looked at Phil & Ted's, the BOB, and just saw the Bumbleride twin online. Any experience with these?

What can I do next?

I have the Bumbleride Indie Twin and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Besides the fact that it is a great stroller, the company is amazing when it comes to customer service. I know of someone local that sells them, if you are interested contact me privately and I will be happy to give you her info.

I love my city mini double by Baby Jogger for my twins. So easy to use, lightweight, no problem taking it in stores. The only thing is, it does not take a car seat so if you want that option you might want to look elsewhere, I am not real familiar with the ones you mentioned, you can look at Amazon for reviews if you haven't done so already. Some one else mentioned the sit n stand, your older child probably needs more support that that offers right now.

I have the single bob, which I love for walks around the house (we don't have sidewalks). It is not practical for shopping. It is heavy to take in & out of the car. It also requires 2 hands to fold. If you are looking for a stroller to run or hike with, the bob is the way to go. If you are looking for something to take on shopping trips you may want to go with something lighter. (I'm sure the double bob is even heavier than the single.)

We have the Combi Twin Savvy LX. It's not a tandem, but a side-by-side. I wanted my girls (who are 23 mos apart) to be able to interact. It fits through all doorways as it is the same width as a wheelchair. Two drawbacks: it takes up a lot of trunk space (It folds nicely, but how small can you really make a double? I've read this complaint about all doubles.) and you can only fit the Combi infant carrier in it. I read online that people use their Graco carrier in it, but I personally would not. It's a poor fit. Enjoy your babies!!

i got the stroller that the first child can sit or stand in the back seat because you can use this stroller till the child is 4 so get your money's worth.and it is easy to fold up.
good luck

I have the BOB double jogger and the Combi side by side Savvy. I love how the BOB handles, although it is awkward to lift in and out of a trunk and is not something to just take to the mall. I also like the Combi double, actually I like it much better than the Combi single, which I also own. The Combi double is so light, my biggest complaint is that the wheels are not as heavy duty so you do get stuck going over bumps and such at times, although not nearly as much as with the Combi single. Definitely with a side by side stroller, you will have trouble in some shops, although it fits easily through doors--it is just the aisles that can be a real problem. There are some places that I just give up and say they don't get my business because they aren't thinking of moms with strollers! Ironically, it is often kids shops that have too tight of aisles! Good luck!

I have a few different double strollers in my "collection," I have a 4 1/2, 3, and 10 month old. My favorite by far is Graco's Quattro Tour Duo! It manuvers like a dream, folds nicely, and holds up to a 50lb child in the front seat! It also will accept any Graco infant seat, and most likely some other models too. The tandem stroller is much better than the side to side if you plan to use it in a store... once you go off the main aisle to look at items forget fitting anywhere! Congrats on expecting you second baby and good luck :)

I have been where your at. I have a 2 year old and a 11 month old. I did alot of research so to speak. I was the crazed pregnant women on the street asking everyone that walked by if they liked their stroller and what they like about it... I live in the city and decided the baby jogger city mini series was the best bet. It is a side by side and only weighs 29 lbs. (I think.) It fits through all the doors and maneuvers the curbs easily. I also have to lift up 10 steps to the day care and it fold easily for easy carrying. The down fall is the under stroller storage is small. But I found that most double strollers do not have much storage.I hope this is helpful. C.

i have a 2 and a half year old and an almost 5 month old and we just purchased the baby trend sit n stand. love it! it have the ability to snap on the carseat before the baby is able to sit up. my older son loves it, which is the most important since he can tell me so. he can choose how he wants to sit ot stand. a lot of stores here do not have carts, like kohls, so it is very useful. it fold easy and is about the size of the travel system ones, just slightly longer but less bulky. right now they are on sale at walmart for $89 and 2 cents shipping!
