Hi everyone!
Kind of a JFF question but lately I have been super annoyed by the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show. Maybe because when the show is not on everything is Mickey Mouse, yes even some scripting, too.
But for some reason the characters' voices really annoy me.
Anyone else feel this way or perhaps I'm just PMSing and overtired from school!
ETA: Yes, big PBS fan. Elmo never annoyed me like this. Maybe because there was some sort of educational takeaway. I feel MM reinforces gender stereotypes as well.
Ah....just another thing to add to the list of Reasons I'm Glad My Kids Are Older. Yes, MMCH is very annoying.
The show that annoyed me the most was "Caillou." I couldn't stand that whiny, wussy little voice. I never let my kids watch it because I would probably flip out if they started talking that way.
There are much more annoying shows on tv once your kids get older: Sponge Bob, Annoying Orange, Fairly Odd Parents, iCarly, Sam & Cat, etc.
Be glad that right now you just have to listen to annoying voices and not annoying AND rude ones.
I think the show is pretty cute personally. I am a life long Disney fan. I have been listening to that voice all my life. Even if it's been different voice actors, it's always been essentially the same general voice.
We are a Disney household. I collect all the movies, we have annual passes. You can't look around our house without finding Disney stuff.
With that said, I am not a fan of the "tween drama" shows they have now. Talk about annoying! Disney XD is the least watched channel in the house. They play Phineas and Ferb which is great, but some of the other stuff on there is so bad. (Yeah, yeah, the last part isn't answering your question but I just had to add it)

You know what annoys me about the show...WHY IN THE HELL DOESN'T MICKEYS EARS MOVE?!?!? They are always facing the same way!
Ugh. When Goofy sings, I want to rip my hair out. My son LOVED MM, but my daughter is breezing through her toddler years completely uninterested in the show. Hot Diggety Dog!

Of course it's annoying to adults it's made for children, very YOUNG children.
I have never liked Mickey. We grew up Peanuts and Bugs Bunny fans and then moved onto Calvin and Hobbes. Another reason not to go to Disney World!
Mickey's voice has annoyed me since early childhood. Not one of my favorite shows. Thank god we've grown out of it.
I was never much into Disney - that is until I went as an adult. Now I am planning another trip. Mickey still does nothing for me.
