Does Anyone Use Wool Dryer Balls?

I just use regular tennis balls in the dryer. Being allergic to wool, I can't use those. The plastic ones I tried cracked open after a little while and I threw them all out, I kept one that didn't crack and I use that to keep the washer door propped open so mold doesn't grow in there when it gets hot.
They really do make a difference. I put them in with pillows after I've washed them and they come out new. They help keeps things separate so they dry better.
I don't use fabric softener or dryer sheets, these take their place along with vinegar in the washing machine.

I've been researching DIY laundry detergent, vinegar substituted for fabric softener, and now these wool balls.

I read the questions and the seller is very clear that the colors don't bleed, that the wool is not itchy. I am allergic to wool, but worsted wool is being used to absorb moisture. It won't stick to your clothes the way the wool is treated.

I had bought two from Etsy (from another seller) just before Christmas. With the dryer balls, my clothes were coming out of the dryer full of static (even though I have always used vinegar in the rinse cycle instead of fabric softener). I figured I needed more than just two wool balls so I found out how to make my own since they are so expensive. I tried using eight but still was having major static issues even when I would set the dryer to dry for less time. I also noticed that the wool balls leave fuzz on the washcloths that I use on my face. The ones I bought from Etsy leave more fuzz than the ones I made even after I re-felted them. Also I did not think that my clothes were any softer nor did my clothes dry any faster. A couple weeks ago I went back to using dryer sheets even though I hate all the chemicals. The static was just too bad to deal with. Maybe in the summer when it is very humid here, the dryer balls will work better. Right now I feel that they were a waste of my money.
