Hey'ya all,
I'm gathering resources and stories.
If you've been down this road and know of good resources or are willing to share your expediences, I would appreciate hearing about them.
Thanks in advance!

ETA: I am a kinship care provider and am doing research about attachment disorders, underlying neurological disorders, and effective parenting techniques/therapy techniques, so that I can better parent her :-)

ETA: Woops! Reactive attachment disorder - RAD.

What can I do next?

I've got one with something similar to Reactive Airway Disease and ADHD...

Super fun. Meltdowns (typical of ADHD) trigger breathing episodes. Wheeeee. If this is the combo you're talking about I'll PM ya more.

Which RAD girlie?

(I mean, we know you're rad, but there are too many durn acronyms in med & psych)

I assume you are referring to reactive attachment disorder? Check out the website radkid.org There are some good resources there, specifically regarding therapists who specialize in RAD. I did a lot of research on this a few years ago when we were having problems.

There is a lot of controversy over RAD, specifically with attachment therapies, so do your research.

Would you mind being a little more specific about why your asking? Are you asking out of curiosity (sp?) or for a research project, or because you are a parent of a child with rad/adhd and need some support? I don't mean to sound suspicous but I alwaya am a little leery answering questions like this without knowing the why behind it. But, that's just me.
