Discount Tickets for the Ft. Worth Zoo
Anyone know of a good place to get discount tickets? Do any grocery stores carry them?

if you are taking young children, they don't have a very big petting/children's zoo. I didn't enjoy it that much, lots of walking. The reptile zoo is under construction so not much there. The little petting zoo they did have had a goat, pig, and chickens that were far enough from the rail you couldn't reach them.. I would just go to the dallas zoo. Its smaller but they have a much better childrens section.

Check with Tom Thumb...I've gotten tickets from them in the past. Also, I think Wednesdays are half price days for the zoo.

I don't know about discount tickets, but the cost is half price on Wednesdays.

If you go on Wednesday it's half price. Becoming a member is also a good deal if you just want to take your child and plan on going at least twice. Kids under 3 are free. If you're a member you get free parking, 10% off food and at gift shop and the train and carousel are only a buck each for 1 ride.

You might check with some of the hotels in that area too, sometimes they have pamphlets or coupons.

Yes, Wednesday is 1/2 price day - you will still have to pay for parking. 2 and under are free every day. Keller Parks & Rec usually has discount tickets but I'm not sure what the discount is, you might have to be a resident. You might check with your local Parks & Rec office to see if they also offer them. If you can afford a membership, it pays for itself in about 4 visits by the time you factor in the ticket price and parking. My 3 year old son and I are members and when my husband comes with us we just buy a discounted ticket at the membership office (he usually only comes about once a year).

Not that I am aware of but if you go to www.tourtexas.com, you can get a whopping $1.00 off or if you can go anyday of the week, you can get 1/2 price on Wednesday. Hope this helps :)

I saw a sign in Keller Town Hall that said they have discount tickets. However, the best deal is to go on half price Wednesday. If you know someone who is a member they can get discount tickets for you.
