Diagnosed with Chronic Epstein Barr, Looking for "Positive" Advice....

After a VERY long year of the unknown, and being "so called" diagnosed with different stuff (IE: maybe neuropathy, MS, vertigo migraines and meniere's disease) I finally( hopefully) found the right doctor (highly recommended Infectious Disease Dr)... She said I have "Chronic Epstein Barr".. The levels are suppose to be .0-.90, I am 4.97... My symptoms are:
-EXTREMELY fatigued
-dizziness (which is not one of the symptoms, which is question)
-BAD brain fog
- no concentration
-sometimes numbness/tingling in my leg and hand
-I basically feel like I have 2 braincells left....
-I have that "out of it" feeling.. It's horrible :0(
-sometimes it's depressing because I feel like I been pushed and pulled all different ways.. I'm not a "depressed" person normally, but this is depressing

Last summer I had bronchitis for 2 months, medicine wasn't clearing it out of my system.. Finally after 2 months, it cleared up BUT in the meantime I started getting dizzy, and the dizziness never went away.

I was ALWAYS a high intensity work out person before the bronchitis.. After the bronchitis, I barely worked out for 8 months.. I started working out again about a month ago and joined this 30 minute "high intense" boxing gym. My doctor said I absolutely can not do this type of work out right now because it's too much for my body to handle. He said for the next 2 months, I can work out "lightly" for 20 minutes outside... BOO!

He put me on levaquin for 2 weeks to "try" and help with whatever infection is going on....

I REALLY want to believe this is my final diagnosis but it's so hard to believe doctors nowadays.....

Can anyone give me some of their experiences with Epstein Barr. What you do, what shouldn't you do, what vitamins are good to take, etc..

What were "your" symptoms of this?

Thanks!!!

What can I do next?

I agree with the previous posters. My friend had this also and went to a homeopathic doctor and is doing much better. They gave her IV meds for a while.

A friend of mine had Epstein Barr and she went to a natural doctor who detoxed her. She now doesn't have any more symptoms. She also used a supplement called Lauricidin, which is made from mother's milk, to boost her immune system.

I have also heard you can use Miracle Mineral Supplement. Both are inexpensive treatments--see a natural doctor though. A regular doctor is just going to drug you up and tell you that there is no cure.

My friend went through many regular doctors and other treatments before she saw the natural doctor. She spent a year in complete misery. The natural doctor's treatment along with chiropractic and acupuncture cured her. The natural doctor said that she had been put on so many antibiotics that it destroyed all the good bacteria in her system.

If I were you, I'd look into Miracle Mineral Supplement. I use it and not only is it inexpensive ($25 for a year's supply) but it will cure all your infections. It's pretty neat stuff (cures Malaria!!). I used it to cure my ear infection. The pain was gone in less than an hour, never to return!

Also, regardless of your final "diagnosis," many of the natural treatments will help cure whatever you have without nasty side effects and will leave your immune system stronger than it was.

If you're not a pioneer of natural treatments, at least see a natural doctor!

Also--your symptoms sound like a chronic yeast infection otherwise known as candida. Look up candida and the symptoms!! I'll bet it's from too many antibiotics...

I had it and a doc here helped me considerably. He is a natural doc who just gradually detoxed me. It turned out I had heavy metal toxicity, parasites, a ton of "little" things that made me feel crappy all the time. I moved here b/c of him. Phoenix is a hub for really good natural healer types. Since being here, I've learned of other people who can help too. It usually isn't the same cause for everyone. I also had emotional things going on (a lot of disease has some basis in this). And I saw people for that here too. It took a few years but I feel great now. I didn't think I would be able to lead a normal life, but by God's grace I am. I know of people who fly in to see these doctors. I don't know if that is doable for you though. You could try an acupuncturist. They are everywhere.

Good Luck!

I was diagnosed with this as well, a doctor friend of mine recommended a high dose of sublingual B-12 to help with the fatigue ( 2500 mcg) and that's been helping considerably.

My sister was diagnosed with this when she was in 7th grade and we have spent the last 20 years dealing with it off and on. The best way to understand it is to look at Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I know that they are different but you treat it the same way. I don't imagine your doctor liked that you were exercising so much. She was never able to take a gym class again in school, and now has to be careful of what she does. The way I understand it is that its a retrovirus very similar to mono or aids. But, its not as deadly obviously. It is something you will have to deal to will off and on for a long time.

The best things to do for it are to eat healthy, keep up your iron, rest, rest, rest, and listen to your body. I wish you well. We never tried a naturopathic doctor, so I don't have any info on that.

a pH balancing detox diet would be good - using green superfoods such as wheatgrass, spirulina, chlorella, kelp, etc. will help support the immune system. There's a powerful antimicrobial protocol using something called MMS (miracle mineral solution) that's helped a lot of people overcome chronic viral infections. Olive leaf extract and oregano oil as well as nano-silver solutions also work on viral conditions. Also using energy healing methods to replenish your energy system and strengthen your organs would be valuable. In my experience I've observed that it's usually necessary to use alternative and holistic healing approaches to really overcome those types of chronic illnesses - and having the precise diagnosis is less important than applying the proper treatment philosophy.
