Desperatly Looking for Christmas Gift Idea for Teenage Boy/girl

Ok, I need to start shopping for our older niece and nephew...anyone have any ideas for a boy age 9-11, and girl 11-13? I looked at Target online but didnt really see anything that looked interesting. What are kids into at this age? Would like educational, movies, music, arts/crafts ideas and suggestions. I really cant afford to spend more than $15 each.
Thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I would think about getting them something trendy or cool for their bedrooms. There are all sorts of "cool" things to decorate or accessories for kids rooms these days. I bought my step brother age 13 a football lamp (it's really cool) this year. Otherwise everything he is asking for is way out of my budget.

My son is 8 years old. He loves cards. Mainly those Yugio things that I can't even come close to spelling right. LOL But he is also into Star Wars so I bought him a pack of Star Wars cards. He doesn't play any games with them but he really does enjoy laying them all out and then putting them back into his collecter book.

My son also enjoys legos. They have all kinds of really neat kits now. They aren't cheap. Usually $8.00 for a small one and up around $100.00 for the really large ones. But you can find a lot in between prices. They have Star Wars, Pirates of the Carribean, Police cars, and lots of other things to build.

Sorry I can't help you with a girl. The first girl to be born into our group of friends is less then 2 weeks old. LOL So I am unsure about what girls like!

a gift card to the exclusive company is a good gift all kids like music. they have a lot to choose from i am sure there is something they like that they can find there.

If you go to www.gifts.com they will give you a lot of good ideas and you can pick a price range. you can even choose their personality and it will give you a list of presents based on thier personality.

I have a niece that is 11 and a nephew that is 13.
For a lot of girls that age Monkeys are big. I bought my niece a really cute monkey watch at Von Maur ($18) it has a round brown face and that band is monkey heads. It is really cute and the quality looks like it would be more than $18. Other stores that have monkey stuff is Aropostle, spelling???. They have 50% off sale right now. Last year I gave her a monkey robe and slippers.
For our nephew, music is big hit. Gift card to the mall so he can pick out something. Big hoodie sweatshirts are a hit with him too. His favorite stores for clothes are Aropostle, Abercromie, Holister and Gap. I find doing mall gift cards is easier than individual store cards.

Good luck.

My son is 11 he loves music, you can get portable cd plays for a round $10 and maybe a cd of the music he likes.

movie tickets to a local theater; blockbuster card w/candy & popcorn, gift certificates to local activities - I got this for my 11 year old's best friend and he loved it. If they like art, a sketch pad with special pencils. Best of luck, have fun!!
