Dentist Advice and Recommendations for a 28 Mo Old in Camarillo, CA
My son is 28 months old and has not been to a dentist yet. I tried searching for a local dentist that will see a child at such a young age but I continue to come across the same two problems, they either don't accept Blue Cross or they don't see children that young. Does anyone have any referrals for the Ventura County area? I am concerned I am waiting too long to get him into the dentist. Thank you!

Have you tried spaceshipdentist.com? How about oakparkdentistryforchildren.com? The first has several offices in Ventura County and the second is in Oak Park. Good luck!

They take Blue Cross. But keep in mind the insurance might not pay much. My daughter really likes Dr. L., but they are all excellent. They obviously specialize in children, but not sure how young. My daughter went for the first time when she was 3 or 3 1/2. Oak Park is south of you, about 4 miles east of the 101 at Kanan Road. It is just barely in Ventura County. Good luck!

I live in Camarillo and we took our kids to Camarillo Dental in the same shopping center as McDonald's on Santa Rosa. My kids seemed to enjoy it. My husband took them there.
My friend takes her kids to the Spaceship Dentist on Las Posas. It's really kid friendly and she says her kids love it!! I would have taken my kids there, but my husband had already made the appointment for Camarillo Dental.

If you are willing to go to Oxnard, go to the Oxnard Children's Dental Group - 451 W Gonzales - 805/983-0100. They are geared for children and my daughter loved them. I admit I haven't been for a while, by daughter is 19, but they took all kinds of insurance, adn I had Blue Cross at the time. The only think was that I had a slightly higher copay as they are considered a specialist, but it wasn't anything I couldn't handle and I was a single mother living hand to mouth.
