I was recently able to find a almost brand new pair of cowboy boots at a second hand shop. They fit my youngest, which is cool because he very often never gets the "brand new" items. now my other two would like a pair each. which works for me because i really think they are stinking sweet. i went to the mall today and looked at target, famous foot wear, sears, payless and i think thats it...no one carries them...i look online and they are 39.99-129 dollars. thats nuts...completley nuts even though my eldest would be orn through and thouigh down the line, my second ones can go to younger...that just seems insane......any good ideas?

I just bought a pair of cowboy boots for my 12 year old off ebay for $40. They are Tony Lamas-genuine leather! He will wear them a lot in the next year or so. Unfortunately, kids feet just grow so fast! Once spring is closer, you'll be able to find more, I'm sure. Winter isn't the best season for them. Target and Payless may have them in a couple months, but the cheaper, no-leather ones are kind of hit or miss. LIke others have said, check your local western wear places. Some can be a lot cheaper than others. My husband bought our daughter's Justin boots last spring at their annual "garage sale" for almost half. I wish you luck!

Craigslist
Ebay
Value Village, seeing as how you're from Seattle - my favorite 2nd hand shop in the US.....I once found a brand new Star Wars Limited Edition Monopoly set there, thought for sure something was missing or wrong, if so, we still haven't found the discrepancy.

I have seen them at Walmart. Not sure they are carrying them right at this moment, but they did within the last year. A friend's daughter was Jesse for Halloween, and she got her a pair there.

I am from Spokane (other side of the mountains) and I get my son's boots at Big R and I watch for sales and don't normally spend more than $30.
Are you ever on this side of the mountains?

yes cowboys are adorable I have one and nothing beats them. :) sometimes you can get cowboy boots at wal mart for $20-30. now having said that they last and last. you could buy your oldest a boot and it would make it through all 3 of your kids no matter how hard they are on shoes. my so has had one of his pairs for 10+ years just resoled them and rehealed them from time to time. go to a western store and they have a brand old something that only runs $40 for the kids boots which is what I buy. they fit better than womens boots. and sometimes you can get them on clearance.

check drysdales, cavanders, langstons and other western stores. always check thrift stores. if you look you can find them at a reasonable price also check ebay. but realistically if you buy your oldest a new pair for $129 they will last all 3 of your kids. so the pay off is worth it just buy a nuetral pair. black matches everything.
