We currently live in La Verne and am looking for a dance class for my daughter who is 2 1/2. They all seem to start when they are 3 years old. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Check out the Moultrie Academy in Upland. It's supposed to be one of the best in the area. www.moultrieacademy.com

The talent factory in Chino has a class for 2 year olds at 11 on Wednesdays. They even get to be in the recital. www.talentfactory.org

I just asked a similar question....unfortunately there are no studios in the area that will take kids under 3. I did an extensive search last year. I'm looking for a good studio now that my girl is 3

Generally, the only places that offer those classes are churches. I was a dance instructor for 8 years and the minimum age was always three. The reason for this is maturity. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but we could always tell the "just threes" from the "almost fours." I suggest waiting until she's three. It's only six months! Until then, put music on at home and dance with her. Work on her following directions from you (repeating hand clapping, follow the leader, etc.) so that when she gets to class, she is familiar with following a lead teacher.
