Colon Cleanseing

Buy "The Ultimate Cleanse" it's available at the Giant Food Stores in the Organic section. It costs about $22. It's 2 bottles of pills- a fiber pill to make you poo and an herbal pill to detox your system. You start out taking 1 of each 2x a day and increase that until you are "going" 2-3x /day. Works like a charm. You can also try Psyllium husk powder- you drink it in water or mix it in smoothies. It sludges all kinds of interesting things out of your colon. GROSS!

Not for the feint of heart is the MASTER CLEANSE google it and you'll get all the info you need. There are several message boards that are VERY helpful related to the Master Cleanse. I did a 10 day master cleanse starting after Thanksgiving. It REALLY works. You will feel better than you have in years. I'm going to start a 20 day right after Easter. Ring in Spring with a pure body- sounds good to me!

There is a great health food store in quakertown. the man who owns it, i think his name is john, is a nutritionist, so very well informed and willing to share. the store is called "to your health".

Colon Cleansing uses herbal ingredients, laxatives, enemas, colonics, and/or irrigation devices. These can disrupt the normal functioning and balance of the large intestine, resulting in electrolyte imbalances, diarrhea, dehydration and damage to the protective bacteria in the large intestine. Doctors don’t recommend colon cleansing for improved health and well-being or for the prevention of disease. The colon doesn’t need to be cleansed. In fact, the only appropriate use for colon cleansing is in preparation for a medical procedure used to examine the colon.

You can probably find equally persuasive articles encouraging their use as well. Just be sure to read the pros and cons before you choose to do it. Hopefully people will offer you safe recommendations for products.

I've been dealing with IBS and some other health issues since I was 30 yrs. of age. I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue, constant pain from IBS. I went to a gastro. doctor, did all kinds of procedures with no help. I did go to an accupuncturist for about a yr and found out I was extremely toxic. I would go to a place that sells natural foods. they may ahve some good suggestions for colon cleansing. you may also want to go on the internet or the library to get some information.

Hi, My name is Debbie and I have used the colon cleanse made by Nature's Sunshine. They have great products and you can order online with very resonable prices. I am 42 years old and a mother of three, two daughters in college 22 and 20 and a son also in college he is 19. And a proud grandmother of a 7 month old baby girl Zoey. The colon cleanse was a great product I also use other products they have I found this out after alot of research from a good friend of mine who also owns a wellness center, hope this was helpful to you.

As someone who has dealt with Ulcerative Colitis and IBS for over 15 years, I'm going to say that the best thing you can do for your colon is to not aggravate it this way. I've been told by gastroenterologists that these products are a waste of money. You would have the same results using a colonoscopy prep kit which is just some heavy duty laxatives. The best way to take care of yourself in this aspect is to watch your diet, making sure that you are including plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables that will provide plenty of fiber and to drink lots and lots of water. I know there are some out there who swear by these home treatments but honestly it's the same type of thing as being able to cure yourself of gallstones (you can't). The other thing to be careful of is that when you start doing things like this, you may find yourself no longer able to "move" without the use of laxatives and treatments. It's best to be healthy and let nature takes it's course.

you are absolutely on the right track with cleansing.I disagree with Kelly S. 100% on her response (no disrespect) I've seen many on tv that just look great - and agree for all the right reasons everyone should be doing it. We eat crap, toxins, they are poisoning our bodies. Read sometime best book I've ever read in my life "Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About." OMG I was in shock for 3 weeks after beginning to read this book.
Sorry I cant recommend a particular brand of colon cleanse because I havent done it myself yet, but if you can find a good local health food store where they seem knowledgable of their products, they may be able to point you in a good direction. Dont stop at colon though, go all-over body, liver, parasite, yeast cleanses....etc. I do believe its important though to take FIBER and nutrient replacements while cleansing.....be sure to ask about this. Fiber absorbs and helps remove the toxins from the body once they are loosened. I recently visited an excellent health food store in Morgantown for a general cleanse product and she pointed me to "Renew Life" which I tried and it was great
