For the last couple of days I've been hearing clicking sounds coming from my stomach. It doesn't hurt, but I feel kind of weird when it happens. Anyone else know of this?

What can I do next?

Yup, probably hiccups. Starting in the last week or so ( I am 34 1/2 weeks), my baby is getting them all the time!

Never heard any sounds, but our daughter hiccuped a ton while I was pregnant and also while I was in Labor.. One Nurse told me that when they hiccup a lot in utero, they will be hiccup prone as infants..

Sounds like hiccups. My other thought was maybe sucking the thumb? My son makes a really loud clicking sound sometimes when he's sucking his thumb and sleeping. I guess in a few weeks you'll know if baby is still doing it. :)

I had the same thing when I was pregnant with my first child. I could randomly hear this clicking sound. I never heard of anyone else with this either. The doctor told me that there are just some phenomenon with pregnancy. Anyway, my girl was born healthy and is now 22 yrs. old. Hope everything is okay with you. Good luck.

I'm guessing hiccups too. I'd ask the Dr. though, just to be sure!

I had the same thing happen, but don't know the reason why. My daughter was born just this July 4th too.

It is not hiccups. I have researched it myself and found one sight where it said that in the later stages of the pregnancy when there wasnt much room for the baby that he/she would kick the mothers ribs and the sound from that. but that seems weird to me. I hear the sound to in my stomach and im at 34 weeks but i only hear it on the top right side on my stomach thats why i said the rib kicking theory sounded weird because if that was the case why doesn't it ever click on the left side she kicks that side too.

I had the same thing with my daughter I figured it was her hip. she was breach with her feet pushing on my pelvic bone. the doc could not figure it out either. but when she was born she had a loose hip joint. as she got older the socket formed normally. also she was 3 weeks early. so she had the trifecta in her favor (girl, breach and premature). when your lo is born have the docs check her hips really well mine had to have an ultasound done just to have a visual of the joint. gl and congrats

Both of my kids "clicked". I didn't know why and the doctor didn't really have a good reason, it's just something that sometimes happens. They were both big healthy girls :) Enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy!

Your baby has hiccups. Isn't it cute? Mine had it EVERY SINGLE DAY for the last month. If this happens to you, you should enjoy it now. In two weeks, it will drive you crazy.

Is it a regular pattern that goes on for a few minutes at least accompanied with a little "spasm"? If so then it's probably hiccups.

I don't want to scare you, just encourage you to talk to your OB about it, but my mom told me a story about a woman that works with my sister. She thought her baby just had hiccups a lot when she was pregnant. Turns out the baby was having in utero seizures and is severely handicapped by a seizure disorder to this day. He is mentally very retarded, physically incapable of caring for himself and requires constant care, the poor thing. I'm not saying this is what is happening with you since hiccups are MUCH more common and MUCH more likely, but it's something to keep in the back of your mind and ask your doctor to screen for if you do feel concern about it.

Wishing you the best!
