Are you looking for a non-denominational Sunday church? Personally I'm Adventist, but I've heard that Monte Vista Chapel is nice. Also Crossroads which is on the East side of town on Johnson Rd. I belong to a mom's group there and they are all so super friendly. Here's their site http://www.ccturlock.org/ There are honestly so many churches in Turlock that it depends on what style of worship you want, what time you want to attend, maybe even what part of town you're in.

I've lived in Turlock for 25 years now and am so attached to it. If you have any other questions I'd be happy to help answer them for you.

I moved away from Turlock. It is a LOVELY place to live (or at least it was a few years ago :-) ) There are many churches in Turlock, and we were told before we moved there that at one time that Turlock had the highest # of churches per capita. (I dont think it is true anymore? but still a nice great place to live)
We personally went to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (on Geer Road, kinda on the north end of town.) There are 4 wards (plus a Spanish branch) for Turlock.

I cannot remember off the top of my head the names of the other Christian churches but there are quite a few - some with schools too that my friends kids went to. Monte Vista Chapel is one, but not the only.

I miss Turlock. We moved to AZ and while it's nice here... we miss Turlock. (and dont ask me why I'm listed in Turlock on my profile!! I only joined MamaSource a few months ago, on my AZ email address and lo and behold, my profile has me GLUED to Turlock. Tried to change it. Emailed them multiple times and have had at least 3 different people from MamaSource "helping" me but nothing changed. Kinda creeps me out that they somehow knew I was in Turlock at one time.... Anyway!!)

Hi V.

My husband and I searched for churches for some time in Turlock and found Enclave Community Church in early December. We really enjoy the atmosphere and the sincerity of Pastor Brian, the message taught and the sense of finding a genuine church community.

Check out their website at www.enclavecommunity.org.

Good luck in your search to find a church.

K.

Hi V.-
I am from Turlock, and I would highly recommend Monte Vista Chapel. It is located on the corner of Monte Vista and Berkeley in Turlock. I do not attend services there, I am Catholic, but I do go to their mom's club, and I love it!! Everyone there is so welcoming and kind, which is not always the case for such a large church. Hope this helps!

Hi V.,

Monte Vista Chapel is a good church as already mentioned and there is New Life Christian Center on the other side of 99 next to Pedretti Park. I have attended New Life in the past and really enjoyed the more modern type of praise. Monte Vista is a little bit of modern and traditional type of service. I think it would depend on what you are more comfortable with. Good luck!

Turlock has different churches. It also depends on what side of town your going to live on. The population is 69,000, like most towns you hear stories. The church I go to, has great dance for kids, and other great activities. Turlock has the county fair every August, which brings people from miles around. I will give you any personal insight about Turlock if you want me to. Like the lady mentioned about the church, I heard its a good one. G.
