Child with Club Foot

I have a daughter that is 21 months old. She was born with a left club foot. Obviously, we have started to buy shoes for her, but we have to buy two pair. We don't want to buy cheap shoes, because we want her foot to have good support and for her walking to be as comfortable as possible. The problem is that buying two pairs of shoes is not only expensive, but now we have sets of shoes (although in two different sizes) that are not being used. What I want to know is if there are any other moms with the same problem but opposite foot/same sizes that would like to trade shoes... or if anyone knows where I can donate them to children like my daughter who need shoes. My daughter's club foot is the left. Her left foot is size 4 and her right is size 5.

What can I do next?

I can't help with the shoe trade or donation. However, I believe if you buy shoes at Nordstroms they will sell you two different sized shoes at the price for a pair. It would be worth a call. All the best to you and your family.

Nordstroms is the place to go for shoes. My mother, who had polio as a child shops there for her shoes (she has a size 7 and 10 foot) and they only charge her for one pair.

Nordstroms started as a shoe store way back when. They pride themselves on shoe service. They will split a box of shoes and sell you two different size shoes as a pair. I think they charge a small fee but not as much as buying two pairs of shoes.
