Child Support - Carrollton,TX

Hi Momma's I have a situtation that I would really love your help on.

I have been divorced from my youngest son's dad for 3 yrs in April, He has never paid the 20% that he is responsible for. His parents are very controlling and manipulating. He told me if I didn't agree to the child support at the time of the divorce he would fight me for half of custody. I was very vunerable at the time and I agreed. He fought me for extended vistitaion and got it which dragged on for nearly a year.
My ex has not complied with his visitation and since then my son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Integration Disorder along with speech and motor skills delays. Per my old attorney my ex is responsible for the 20% child support plus more because of my son's medical disabilities and that I will not have a problem as far as custody since he has not been complying with it.

My question is do I need an attorney to proceed this and any suggestions on a good female attorney. I have a legal plan through work an don't have a clue on who is recommended or not. I prefer to go to a kick butt attorney and one that is referred.

Any suggestions is apprecieted.
Thanks so much
M.

yes, i would get an attorney. when you start talking about the added expenses your child is likely entitled to due to his recent diagnosis, that will get messy quickly and you'll want an attorney. not sure it matters if it's male or female though. you want the best, regardless of gender.
