Have any of you heard of this park? I have looked it up on the internet and I am not finding anything on it. My little girls daycare is going to this park but I have no idea where it is at. I am thinking about doing a princess party, for my daughter who will be 4, at a park and the thought of a Castle Park would be a great additive to the princess theme! Her birthday is in April, perfect time for a outdoor party. Do any of you have any ideas for a park close to the Haltom city, Watuga, Keller area?? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you for all your input. I guess the Johnson Rd park would be closest and looks most like a Castle type park. I may end up doing a party at mc donalds. hah It would easiest and less stressful. Hopefully mc donalds won't be booked. Thanks again!!

Hi there! Castle park is in Benbrook (SW of Ft. Worth). It sits right next to the horse stables off of 377.

This is the ONLY Castle Park that I have seen or heard about. It is a real neat park:)

Good Luck!

This could be the park on 1709--right before White Chapel. We have always called it that!

I would definately check it out before you plan a party at Castle Park. I am not a big fan of this park - it is always packed with big kids due to the soccer and baseball fields next to it, and it is huge - you can not see your kid unless you follow them around non-stop. I can't believe a daycare would go there and try to keep up with the kids. One could easily fall in the duck pond and no one would notice. The wooden "castle" is pretty cool for older kids, but not 3/4 year olds. The playground equipment is from the 70's - metal and rusted. Obviously, I don't like it at all!

Don't know if anyone has responded yet...... There is a park in Keller on Bourland next to the Keller public library and it looks like a castle. It is good size, has two sides one for younger kiddos just walking and the other side could keep bigger kids happy too ~ There are tables, a brand new bathroom and it is away from any major roads... Great venue for a princess party :) Good luck....Kris

Castle Park is in Benbrook on Hwy 377 next to the Benbrook YMCA. It is 2 parks in one. A wooden structure that has a slight castle theme and next to it is another area with slides, swings, see-saw, and the spinning thing. It has a pond with ducks, and a few tables to eat at.

This could be the one by the Keller public Library on Johnson Rd. There are a ton of parks in your area. Bear Creek park iin Keller is great. The Arcadia Park system through Park Glen is nice. There is also one behind Haltom High that is pretty.

There is a Castle Park is in Benbrook next to the YMCA and the baseball fields off of Winscott. Lots of daycares go there on field trips. It is actually called Dutch Branch Park but it has a big wood fort (castle) so the kids all know it as castle park. It is a fun park our kids favorite they could spend hours there even my 14 year old stepdaughter likes to go there.
www.cityofbenbrook.com (search for parks and recreation)and you'll find this
Dutch Branch Park - Dutch Branch Park is the Benbrook’s central, featured park facility. Amenities include three playgrounds including Castle and Robot playgrounds, a walking track, two lighted sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, multi-use courts, basketball goals, a soccer field, baseball and softball fields, duck pond, pavilions, concession stand, picnic areas, and restrooms. Click here for an aerial view of Dutch Branch Park.

Yep, the first response is right. Castle park is a great park in Benbrook. If you exit 377 it's a few miles down the road on the left. It'a really big park with tons of things to do and the ground is made of recycled tires.

There's a couple of nice parks in the NE area. The first one I know is off of Starnes. I think it is called Adventure World. It is a big park with lots of playground equipment. If you go N on Rufe Snow to Starnes turn right and it is a few blocks on the left side. The second one is in Keller. I'm not sure the name but it is off of Johnson Rd- Go N on Denton Hwy past downtown Keller and a street named Golden Triangle. They are doing construction thru that area. Johnson road is on the right after golden triangle maybe a block or so. It takes you to a beautiful park with lots of playground activities. I've only been there once. Also, ask the daycare for the address or directions to Castle Park. Have you look under Keller's website for their list of parks??? Try that too. I hope this helps!!!

If you're in the Watauga and Keller area, then I'm sure you're looking for Johnson Road Park, right next to the Keller Library on Johnson Road. That's what my kids always called the park, before we knew what the real name was!

Keller Library has a park next to it that we called the 'castle park' its outside, you can do a party there and it is a huge park... we ALWAYS had fun there... many hiding spots! i'm not real sure the name of the street it is off of, but we took 377 into keller and then turned right across from a feed store... maybe some else knows exaclty where it is!

Many Years ago the park next to the Keller Library was referred to as the "castle park" because it resembled a castle. It was leveled and rebuild 3 years ago. Since then I have not heard of anyone calling it the "castle park" but for some the term might have just stuck. Have you asked your daughters daycare where it is?
