Has anyone taken in their gold to one of those cash for gold places? Or done a party? Just wanted to see if anyone thought it was worth it. I found a few things the other day while cleaning that I'd forgotten I'd had. Any feedback is appreciated.

What can I do next?

I had a party in my house and ended up with about $400 just for having the party. I think I had about $160 that I sold. So, $560 wasn't at all bad. I had sold $200 at the friend's party where I met the lady that did mine. I know she is giving $50 extra bonus for hostesses for April and she also gives $100 referral fee to anyone you send her way. I also got that! I would say it was well worth it! Is there a way to private message me? If so, I can send you her info. if you are interested. She lives in the Dallas area & will travel 1.5 hrs. from her home. I even had some stones taken out of 2 rings which she had to take with her(she will get them out if she can right on the spot) and I got my stones back very quickly. I would recommend & trust her!

We just had a party last week, and it was well worth it. I got $225 for a few pieces I personally sold, plus $400 for hosting the party - and they provided all of the wine and food! My contact is Monique: ____@____.com's in Flower Mound, so I'm sure she'd be able to help you set up a party with your friends in Denton. It's a lot of fun, too!

Here's a story they ran on FoxDFW 2 weeks ago, where they said how this guy gave the best offers: http://www.myfoxdfw.com/dpp/news/fox_4_features/on_your_s...

Good luck!

I went to the Euless location of Dallas Gold and Silver and they were phenomenal. The service was great and I received quite a bit for what little I had to sell. A couple of items I thought were gold were plated and they don't take that. I found a couple of other pieces, so I will be stopping by again when I am in the neighborhood.

I had a friend throw one of those parties and I sent some stuff, but I only had a little silver so I didn't get much. But I had a friend take some gold and get like $1000.00 so it can be worth it. I haven't gone to a store so I am not sure about that. You can check what gold is selling for per ounce online and then get an approx idea of what you might get for it. Good luck :D

gold is at an all time high right now. it is worth it. i have also been to a gold party and had fun. when i was at the party i asked the host what was requiredd and she said she just contacted the dealer(you may be able to find some online in your area) and she recieved 10% on whatever the dealer took in. so having a party might also be profitable. long as you know you don't want the jewelry anymore it worth it! good luck
