Carpet Spot Cleaner
Hi Mommies!!!!
I am looking for a miracle carpet cleaner. And I am sure lots of you have an answer to my problem. Actually I am a mom of 16 months old toddler boy and these days he wants to eat everything that we eat even if he's not hungry he wants a bite of it.... and during his tasting process something or the other thing struck-up in his throat and everything comes out... yeah he vomits.. I know I am not giving him any bigger chunks or harder food to eat but its really unpredictable for us what can gag him.... So my question to all you moms of toddlers out there ---- which carpet cleaner do you use to clean the mess (as we stay in an apartment, its all carpet here). I have few concerns about that 1. It should be safe to use (no harmful chemicals as my son is now everywhere anytime) 2. It should clean toughest marks/spots as my son is eating berries and beet-root these days.....so you can expect what colors I have to clean up. 3. It should take minimum time to take the spot/mess out of carpet. I do not want to spend my energy and time to rub the carpet when at that time my son also needs me.
Any type of suggestion is most welcome...
Thanks in advance!!!!

If this can get out red gatorade vomit then it can get out most anything.
2 tablespoons detergent (I use tide powder)
3 tablespoons white vinegar
1quart warm water
work into stain and blot
Folex, Woolite...nothing worked but this. It took two tries but it worked better than anything and now I walk around the house with a bucket every few months to clean up various spots. Good luck and let us know what worked best for you.

I use both Nature's Miracle, which is for pet stains, and Oxy Clean laundry spray for carpet stains. I'm also in a rental home that has more carpet than I would like to have. We have 3 cats and a 4 year old, so we have more than our share of carpet stains! I usually try the Nature's Miracle first and then if it doesn't work, go to the Oxy Clean once the first treatment has dried. I recently cleaned a cherry pie stain off our beige carpeting with Oxy Clean and it came up! I spray it on, let it sit for a few minutes, then start blotting it up. Then, I follow it up with a rinsing spray of plain water and blotting again. Good luck! I remember when my daughter went through that phase. It's good your giving him small chunks of food, but at this point it's more about texture. He'll learn what to expect and the gagging should reduce in time. My 4 year old gagged at dinner a few days ago because she had never had a creamy soup before. She liked the flavor of it (baked potato), but just couldn't quite get past the texture. She'll be better with it in time.

I am the mother of 3 teenages, plus a multitude of pets, and a husband with very dirty work clothes and boots. So, I can more than relate... what I suggest and highly recommend Bissell's Little Green. It is a compact deep/steam cleaner. It's handy, light-weight easy to operate. The preparation/set up (and clean up) is simple and quick. It cleans extremely well, large or small messes. The carpet dries quickly. It has an EPA cleaning formula along with several other varieties such as pet stains, tough stain remover. Because it cleans well even when the water has cooled down I have been able to set it up and set it aside so it is ready when we need it. It is priced just under a hundred dollars. The cleaning formulas are priced between six and fourteen dollars. There is not a lot I can or would say this about but I can definitely say it about this product... It is worth every penny. It makes life a whole lot easier. With a young child you will probably find it to be as priceless as the child. Hope this helps.

I just recently "discovered" Folex. Can get it just about anywhere, but I've seen the best price at Home Depot. The stuff is great and does not smell bad. I have found most to smell too strongly (like Woolite carpet cleaner). Spray this stuff on, wiat a few minutes and wipe up. I even use it in my steam cleaner. It's gotten out everything I've tried it on so far...dog vomit, dog blood, poop, (kid and dog) various household spills...you name it! LOVE the stuff!! Good luck.

We started using spot shot, love it! Just spray and it takes the spot out. I was sold when it lifted out red gatorade and strawberry juice. No scrubbing.

Need a miracle cleaner? Look no further. Sol-u-mel is amazing!! I used it to get permanent marker off our couch upholstery. It took crayon off the wall in one swipe!

Sol-u-mel! it is the best stain fighter EVER. my son is extremely messy. about a month ago my husband left a bottle of open hot sauce on the coffee table. My son (then 17 months old) picked it up, and carried it, up-side down shaking it out onto our off white carpet with every step. It was everywhere, and i swear red does not come out of anything. i was in tears over it and so mad at my husband for leaving the bottle open AND out. I whipped out my sol-u-mel, soaked it all down, and then blotted it all up. you cannot see it at all now. i actually took pictures after the first blotted up so easy! lol. you have to buy it from on online whole-sale club, but they are having $1 memberships right now! lol. totally worth it!
