How to Get Coffee Stain Out of Carpet.

I had my carpets professional cleaned a month ago and the other day I spilled coffee right in the middle of my living room. I did blot the stain and used a carpet cleaner which did not work. I was told to use resolve carpet cleaner. Has any one every used Resolve? If so does it work? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

What can I do next?

There is a spray cleaner called "Awesome" that is available at Family Dollar and Dollar General as well as other dollar stores. It is awesome!! It takes all stains out of my white carpet. Even hair dye!!

I would call the company that cleaned your carpets & ask them if there any home remedy you could try. I have heard of Resolve & used it for spot cleaning at the doorway area.

Try google search also.

Good Luck

For all carpet stains, I use Shaklee's Get Clean all-purpose cleaner (liquid) and Nature Bright (powder). It has never failed to clean up the dirtiest stains. I love it because it is non-toxic. I have a son and a cat, so I would worry about using harsh chemicals.

I have found that Woolite OxyDeep Cleaner works great for just about anything. Also - Oxy Clean just mixed with water. I have gotten everything out of carpets with these two products. Even nail polish and lipstick.

I LOVE resolve! I always keep a bottle of it around, even though my son is grown...we do have pets and grandkids. We also use a hand-held carpet cleaner for spots, like the spot-bot, or any of them...that way you can use the soapy water and suck it back up. The last thing I use if something is really bad, is my full-sized carpet shampooer (my husband got it as a reward thing at work a few years ago). But the resolve usually takes everything out!

I personally love a cleaner called Kids & Pets. I've seen it at Walmart and I think CVS. Squirt some of the cleaner on the stain and blot with clean cloth. When it seems like you have the majority of the stain out, then put paper towel over the stain and put a heavy object on the paper towel. Let the carpet dry with the towel on it. IT will help to pull out the additional stain that is way down in the carpet.

Resolve ruined my carpet. A pro told me that Resolve is only good for certain types of carpet and mine wasn't it. Too late now.

If your carpet is white, I heard Hydrogen Peroxide works.

This WILL bleach so only do this if the carpet is white.

I'd try oxiclean. There are a couple of different versions; one can be used on carpet too.

My BIL SWEARS by Woolite Oxy Carpet cleaner. He said it got 2 week old red wine stains out of his cream colored carpet completely.. I haven't had to try it just yet
