Carpet Cleaning Service Needed

My husband works for Rainbow International Restoration and Carpet Cleaning in Arlington. They do amazing work on carpets, ceramic tile and upholstery. They also do water, smoke and fire restoration.

Do not use Kiwi. They do not clean good at all. I just used a guy from Dalworth and surprisingly he did a great job. This was almost 2wks ago and they still look good. I had a MB, LR, sm bath and 2 bedrooms for $200.00-this included an upgrade where they do some kind of deep extraction which is usually $15 a room but he charged me $10 a room. This may be why my carpets turned out so good. His name is Louis Harrison.

A co-worker of mine has a side business cleaning carpet and I have heard WONDERFUL things about her service. She posted this on our online breakroom yesterday:

I hope this works for you! She just cleaned my boss' carpet and got a ten year old stain out that my boss had been fighting for years.

I use Stanley Steamer. I used Kiwi one time and will never use them again. They sprayed heavily scented shampoo, buffed it into the carpet and left. The carpet was not clean and my house stunk! I called Stanley Steamer and they came out in a matter of hours and properly steam cleaned my carpet. Best of luck.

Did Stanley Steemer mention their yearlong plan? I have done business with them for years--and just this last year the person cleaning mentioned that for another $70-80??(Can't remember for sure) they would come back three times in the year to clean the same rooms. I think altogether it amounted to about $300 for 3 rooms (and they just do the little hallway if I ask). That's quite a bit more than you are used to paying, but to me it sounded like a pretty fair deal. That's the only company I have used.

We use Kiwi and for the most part, have been satisfied with them. The person who actually comes to do the cleaning makes the difference. We have had some excellent "technicians" and then a couple that did the job but didn't see like it was done quite as well as the others. I do like how the house smells afterwards. We have 2 dogs and with other carpet cleaners, it sometimes smelled like wet dog after they left. With Kiwi, I feel like it always smells fresh (kind of "citrusy"). Anyhow, right now Kiwi is offering a 3 yr. deal for the price you mentioned ($276). So we paid this amount for the first visit (our original contract just expired) and then for the next three years we only pay the return visit price which is about $50 for two living areas, a hallway and 3 bedrooms. I would call Cosmopolitan Carpet Cleaning, ###-###-####. They are wonderful, and all the technicians are polite. My in-laws also own it. They charge $54.95 for 2 rooms and a hall, $25 each room after that. They are also having a $99.00 special for 5 rooms and a hall.

Hi. You can buy a hoover steam vac for around $130-$150 and clean your own carpets whenever you need to. It pays for itself in one cleaning and does a fabulous job. It's as easy as vaccuming.
(I sound like I work for Hoover, don't I?)

Have you tried Railey's? They are in Arlington also. I don't know what the prices are but I do know the owner and someone else that works there. They are really good. They are in South Arlington off of Mayfield.

I would not recommend using Kiwi, I have used them and they did a lousy job. When I asked them to return to do a certain spot that was really obvious in my living room they made every excuse not to send someone and when they finally gave in and sent me someone the guy had a really bad attitude. I asked the represenative if he could try and remove my stain and he just grunted with attitude I asked him to leave my home if it was too much of a bother and he walked out. I then called Kiwi and they were not very helpful in regards to the reprentative and said if I did not like it that I did not have to use their services. I paid 250.00 for several rooms to be cleaned. I could have done a better job with a rental machine but I opted to purchase a hoover steam cleaner and it did such a beautiful job, my carpets are almost new again.
