Hi everyone. I was just told by my doctor that I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). Which is freaking me out . My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for sometime. I have quit smoking and just started working out. My doctor says that with weight loss and maybe some fertility drugs down the lane plus with my age ( I'm 25 ) that there is still a great chance I will still be able to have a baby . I already have a wonderful daughter. I was wondering if anyone has been through this or has this and had a baby ? Anything will help . I am truely scared and fell like it's my fault we can't have a baby . So people withpositive stories would truely help. Thank you for your time.

What can I do next?

My sister has PCOS and she has two wonderful children. She had to use Clomid to ovulate, but got pregnant on the first month of using it both times. Definitely don't despair! You have lots of options--be sure to talk to a good specialist about them. Good luck :)

My 13 year old was just diagnosed with this a few months ago. I'm concerned about her ability to have children in the future, if she chooses to.
I don't have any advice. Just know that you aren't alone. I hope things work out for you!

Hi there! I am a Doula and I have several clients who have had babies that have PCOS...work with your doctors and I would suggest some conception counseling. Best of Luck! Peace & Blessings!

I don't have PCOS. However, we suffered through 2 miscarraiges before we had our daughter. I fully believe that accupuncture was partly responsible for our successful pregnancy. I know it sounds crazy...I was skeptical too, but I have known several other women who have also had success with accupuncture. I went to a woman in King of Prussia, Meridith Murphy, who specializes in fertility accupuncture. I don't have her number on hand, but if you do a websearch you can find it. Good luck. The only thing you have to lose by trying is money...and she is pretty reasonable. I think I only had 10-12 sessions, and got pregnant as soon as my doctor said we could try after the last miscarraige.

I have PCOS. I was diagnosed with it about 10 years ago (when I was 28) I have 2 happy healthy kids, 7 and 2. It is very possible to get pregnant.
I did have to use fertility drugs for both pregnancies but I also have other issues (endometriosis etc) besides PCOS. And all I had to do was the drugs and a HcG shot to bring on ovulation. Then all we did was the "normal" way to make a baby. LOL
Make sure you are going to a specialist who is knowledgeable about PCOS. That is a major help in getting pregnant. There are so many other issues besides infertility that need to be addressed and could affect your quality of life.
Send me a message if you have any other questions.

Hello, I don't personally have PCOS but I know a bunch of people who do. At this point they all have sucessfully had babies too! Most had to start Clomid though. I know there are tons of things out there to help and that it's one of the "better" problems to have. Sorry I don't have much more information then that but it's also not your fault! I hope that you and your doctor can figure out the right fix for you quickly
