Edit to request: Someone wanted me to describe the house shoes I am trying to replace. They are a full shoe, not open slipper and used to be solid white (haha) with rabbit ears sticking up but the face was pretty much just on the front of the shoe, not like some big cushy houseshoes that have large heads that stick up off the top. The size on the bottom says 7-8 and she's in 8's right now so I'd need bigger. There was a link someone sent me in a response of some places she found bunny shoes and it was the bunnyslippers.com one that looked pretty similar except they were all open back slippers. Thanks for your help.
Hi Moms
My 2 1/2 yr old daughter is extremely attached to some bunny rabbit houseshoes someone gave us. They are so ratty and torn I want to get new ones but can't find any anywhere. I guess they are seasonal for winter although they are not that thick and she wears them alot even now. Does anyone have any ideas? I've searched the web for bunny rabbit houseshoes and all I've come up with is a site that sells slippers which she can't wear because they have no back. Plus they are expensive. I've checked the usual stores, walmart, target, babies r us.
Thanks.

What can I do next?

You could plan a little shopping trip for slippers and/or pajamas. Let her pick out her own slippers. You may wish to give her certain choices. One thing about little girls, They love to go shopping with mommy. One week it's bunny slippers, the next princesses or Hello Kitty and later Hannah Montana. They constantly change their minds.

I am a 38 year old mommy of a beautiful 7 year old girl.
The current thing is everything Hannah.

My daughters came from Walmart a couple of years ago,but they were seasonal as well I think.I'd check ebay, garage sales, thrift stores, children's orchard. You might be able to find a new or gently used pair.Good Luck!

Can you describe them to us? Maybe one of us has seen a pair around somewhere or even has a pair one of our children has outgrown.

try hiding them when she is asleep and after a day maybe she will forget about them. Sometimes with kids that young, out of site, out of mind works well. If that works then you can throw them away. Maybe have some others available in the closet if you want her to wear slippers or just have her keep her socks on. Maybe she would like some cartoon character slipper socks. She will eventually grow out of them too and then won't have a choice but to get rid of them.
