Bra Fittings - Naperville, IL

Tina's Closet is great. Someone mentioned she doesn't have the best personality and that is SOOO true. She actually asked me if I was pregnant or too comfortable in my marriage because my boobs were bigger and that meant I was getting fat. No...not joking.

Nordstrom was great. I actually found bras there in the $30 range. They are few and far between but you can find them.

I hate Victoria Secret. They do not carry all sizes and I swear that people are trained to fit you to their sizes not tell you what size you really are. The lady told me the bras I tried on were perfect for me. THey were that day. One month later they are too big and I can't even wear them.

Nordstrom is great for getting fitted. I went there when I was pregnant and was getting huge and they were really helpful and didn't pressure me into buying anything. FOr nursing bras I would go to Majamas in Oak Park. The owner is so great and helpful.

I know many people who go to Tina's closet (I think Lisle?). I also about a year ago had a "bra party". It was Essential Bodywear (www.essentialbodywear.com) and they come to your home and you and your friends can be measured and order the bra size and style right for you. The rep that showed up was a girl I went to HS with and it was a riot! They carry the "Oprah" bra, but I hear they are discontinuing it which bums me out! I LOVE these bras. I think Nordstrom carries it as well.

I used to work at Nordstrom (please no "s" at the end! It makes people that work their crazy - everyone in the midwest adds that "s" - cracks me up). Anywhoo - they will do a great job.

I've also heard about Tina's closet - I think the one my friend went to is in Naperville. She couldn't believe the difference in how things fit after she had the correct size - I'm heading there as soon as I'm done nursing!

Victoria's Secret - and it's free!

I highly recommned Tina's closet in downtown Lisle! I got my nursing bras there as well (odd size 32G!!) and they fit me so well! They are a little pricey. I ended up paying about $65/each, but you only need couple and they last for a long time. (I have been nursing my 14 month old son since his birth). I couldn't believe what the right size bra can do for you and also your back! Good luck.

I recently attended a "bra party", where we were fitted by an expert bra fitter, and could try on a variety of great bras. The company is called Essential Bodywear, and was featured on Oprah. Below is the website. Perhaps you could schedule a consult in your own home. I love the bras I bought from her. They are extremely high quality, and fit great. The bra I bought was $60, which I don't think is too bad given the quality. Good luck!

If you get a chance to go to the Aurora outlet mall, they have a Maidenform store there. I get fitted there EVERY time I go to the mall. The ladies are really nice there and their bras are inexpensive. They usually have deals like 3 for $21. Some are more depending on the bra you want to get.

Nordstroms for fittings.
Personally, I REALLY like the Playtex 18 hour (though I really don't like the Playtex cross your heart at all).

I got fitted at nordstroms but be prepared to pay about $70.00 for the bra that fits you great.

I have a bra party scheduled in my home on January 7.

These actually hold the girls up. The divits in my shoulders are disappearing and my chiropractor sees a big difference. Apparently it was the poor fitting bra that was pulling my spine out of alignment.

they will even alter bras to fit you perfectly
she knows how to bring the girls up where they belong
my husband is very pleased
i would buy at least 2
they take a day or 2 to get broke in so be patient
then you can always buy more online or when nortstom has there sale
i just got 4 from there the other day 40%off

victoria secret got me all wrong
then i went to lane bryant because i figured they would have big boob bras i told the lady my size and she didn't believe me and brought me both a c and a d cup
i opened the door and was like if i make one false move they are going to jump out of this thing and hurt someone
so i have found tina is the only one who knows

I highly recommend Tina's closet in Lisle. She carries odd sizes(which I am....34F:))I will warn you she does not have the warmest personality but she knows her stuff! You also have to be willing to pay a bit more for your bra. Most run 40.00 and up.

Intimacy in the Bloomingdale's building at 900 N Michigan. I don't know what body type you are, but I cannot buy bras at regular stores including Victoria's Secret. This store was the one Oprah recommended and had at her studio when she did an entire show about bras. The bras I've purchased there have all been around $50, but money well spent. Not only will they custom fit you, they will make any alterations that may be needed for free. Future alterations are also free. The website is myintimacy.com. Good luck! p.s. I just remembered that my cousin worked in lingerie at Bloomingdale's and they will measure there as well. I didn't go there, b/c they don't carry bras in my size.
